Hi All

This thread (and several others) are about us sharing and learning together on our spiritual journey. It is an open space for open minds, so please feel free to come and chat and share your thoughts/stories.

The main book we have been discussing is The Celestine Prophecies book by James Redfield.

Have you all gone to meditate in the sunshine today?? I have been good and only been on last since lunch time!!

papillon · 14/04/2004 17:44

yup, just came back from a walk in the sunshine - how did u guess

so did a search on ear infections following your comment about ear infections Juniper. The first response on a thread I read was from Helsbels!! Some MN synchronicity. Her comments reassured me and then I read my baby book and she doesn´t have an ear infection. Its the teeth.

melsy · 14/04/2004 19:09

Oh that was lovely, thankyou Paps. I totally drifted away. All I could see was an orange vapour around me. I think it may have helped to calm me down a lot. Stiil a little inkling of strangness , but I am getting there. The magnesiuam couldnt be working already !!! May be everyone was sending me calming energy (((())))).

I have tried to find a lovely little velvet bag I have with some crystals inside but to no avail. Will have to try my sylvia mind theory on it. Anyhooo can anyone recommend a good place to buy them?? I was thinking of online , but I have to feel it and make sure its the right shape size etc?? Id like to buy each one related to chakras.

papillon · 14/04/2004 19:12

Hello, you are back!!
Tell me about the sylvia mind theory? How does it work

OP posts:
papillon · 14/04/2004 19:30

For great crystals you simply will have to come to Bern.
There is a crystal shop here with a excellent witchypoo lady who will sort u out no probs.

melsy · 14/04/2004 20:17

Witchypooo LOL Paps!!!

Sylivia mind theory is that you need to not look for the item, but just meditate on it and get a feel for were it is. Visualise what the place feels like and you will get a strong sense for were to look. I often find things really quickly this way. I can tell dh to go somewere with exact description and hell just go there and there it is!! Its not happening with the crystal though!!

melsy · 14/04/2004 20:31

No spiritual sisters around then NO??

gothicmama · 14/04/2004 20:49

Hi - have I missed you guys again -I never realised looking for things in that way had a name I do it alot. Peace out hopful catch up soon

sibble · 14/04/2004 21:54

hi all, sorry to hear you are having a rough time too Melsy, I agree with Helsbels about overdoing the therapies, it being better to focus on 1 and give it time to work etc...I know though that when I get interested in something I get a bit over excited and want to try it all at once and for instant results - a bit like a kid in a sweety shop....

Papillon - great results with your reiki - you must have been so pleased...I treated Dh last night, I used to treat him twice a week and have been so ill and self absorbed with my pregnancy up until now havn't felt able to treat anybody - myself included which is bad - this morning he says he feels great and can move the elbow that was sore and swollen last night. Have also started self treatments and energy exercises again along with a diary - I feel so much better for it - and that's thanks to you all and this thread.
Re: hot and cold feelings with reiki - I was taught that different conditions require heat or cooling so the sensation you and the practitioner may feel relates to the pathology e.g. inflamation and swelling would require cooling so that is what you may feel, having said that I find it is usual to feel heat when the energy is just flowing. My personal experience is that when intensive energy is being transmitted I get a numbness and tingling along with one of the other sensations. I can also see the energy flow from my fingers as a white light into the person. I have only once seen the negative energy leaving the persons body and that was after a few weeks of treating somebody who had had migraines since puberty, intensifying after childbirth, after 4 weeks of twice weekly sessions she was off medication and was migraine free. The other thing about reiki is that although you can try to direct it, it will go to the region most in need which may not always be the region you perceive to be most in need. Hope that makes sense..all to do with finding the true cause of disease I like to think.
On another note I had my meeting with the person I fell out with yesterday, protected by reiki symbols and oozing positive energy and it went fine - no more arguments just a matter of fact meeting. I have to say I just don't think she is a nice person and relating it back to celestine she really drains my energy and that of most of my friends - she is quite agressive in her nature - very assertive but at the same time constantly looking for reassurances and approvals, if she doesn't get them she will turn on you. I find it all quite draining....

SOOO my question for today is........how do you deal with people who you find drain you just being in the room with them - do you avoid them or try to project postive energy?

Have good peaceful sleeps everybody...the sun is shining today so am off out to enjoy it.....

Snugs · 14/04/2004 22:02

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind me butting in here but being a (to use papillion's description) a withchypoo lady myself (!!!) hope I can offer some advice.

I have only had a chance to skim read these wonderfully long threads but have noticed various comments about relaxing, visualisation and meditation. I don't know if you are aware that these are not all the same thing, although they are obviously linked. If you want more info, holler!

Melsy - re velvet bags. Most places charge a silly amount of money. I check out charity shops etc. for anything velvety and do a quick snip and stitch job I find it much more worthwhile knowing I have made the bags myself and matched them with care to the contents.

melsy · 14/04/2004 22:10

Evening Snugs , Im the only spiritual girl up tonight. I will linke the other 3 threads so you can see more of what we have been talking about.Several of us are invloved in the various therapies that you list. We are pleased someone new has come to join us. Not butting at all x

melsy · 14/04/2004 22:13

\link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=9&threadid=22037&stamp=040413072617\This is the 4th one I think!!!. Mostly all the threads are linked together on each, so you can keep going back to the first one.

melsy · 14/04/2004 22:14

Strange that worked in the preview, must need bed.

This is the 4th one I think!!!

melsy · 14/04/2004 22:18

Good idea to make one.

Mine is lost in my home, I got given an amazing 2" amethyst in this lovely velvet pouch and its gone missing. I keep visualising it, hoping ill find it soon. the sylivia mind theory is from the book my father had many years ago. Im trying to locate it on the net.

Snugs · 14/04/2004 22:42

Thanks for the links melsey - tho actually I have been quietly lurking for a while and have read them. Have limited time on net so with the threads so long (and not having read any of the books you are talking about) have skimmed.

Easiest method of basic bag making - cut a circle of material and use a ribbon to 'stitch' loosely around the edge. Pull the ribbon tight and hey presto!

Sorry to hear you have lost your amethyst. I lost a mixed bag of (recently purchased) crystals and spent ages looking for it. Finally decided I wasn't intended to have them. The next day the bag turned up - minus a smoky quartz. I bought a new piece and promptly lost that so have given up on the idea of smoky quartz for awhile.

melsy · 14/04/2004 22:47

think I might have to find some celestine books and send them out to spiritual sisters!!
