"Matthew contains 606 of Markâ??s 661 verses. Luke contains 320 of Markâ??s 661 verses. Of the 55 verses of Mark which Matthew does not reproduce, Luke reproduces 31; therefore there are only 24 verses in all of Mark not reproduced somewhere in Matthew or Luke."

A good diagram here

The evidence that lots of you are always on about is nature!!!!

I feel I have had a lightbulb moment!!!!!!!!!

That is what God himself uses as evidence.

Nature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Science describes not explains. It does describing really, really well.

headinhands · 25/04/2014 19:36

nature!!!!!!

Yeah, that worm that lays it's larvae in the eyes of African children, rendering them blind as it eats it's way out, that's god that is. Or syphilis, or tsunamis or Spinal Muscular Atrophy or Ataxia Telangiectasia or Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy or Battens disease or Kugelburg-Welander or Synovial Sarcoma to name a teeny tiny percentage of the wonders of god's creation. Oh sorry I forgot anencephaly, inencephaly, hydraanencephaly and sudden infant death syndrome.

That lot is the devil for the vast majority, not God.

God didnt even want weeds [of the plant variety]

There is the devil and there is God.

Am very aware that most posters on here know all this, it is others that I am really posting to.

headinhands · 25/04/2014 19:43

he points to weather

Considering the wind on Neptune is some 15 times faster than earth's why would god go to the effort of such a display of power in a place we couldn't even detect for thousands of years. And why use a phenomenon that is explained by physics and negates the need for anything supernatural?

What's a 'weed' rabbit?

OP posts:
headinhands · 25/04/2014 19:45

So satan can create can he?

OP posts:
headinhands · 25/04/2014 19:46

He can speak things into being too? I thought you had to be god or have faith in god to do that.

Wow rabbit, there's a circular argument for you.

Q. How did the Earth come about?

A. God created it.

Q. How do you know?

A. Nature.

Confused

You could substitute just about anything for the word 'god' and it would make as much sense.

Oh forgot, we have a further refinement of the argument:

A. Nature (apart from the yukky bits - the devil made those)

ShippingForecast · 25/04/2014 20:39

rabbit - I'm interested actually, who made foxes, God or the Devil?

Did God just make the (non-poisonous) plants and fluffy herbivores, and the Devil make the murderous carnivores?

Is there some sort of celestial list of 'good' and 'bad' things in nature?

rabbitrisen · 25/04/2014 20:45

God made the foxes of course.
But its bad behaviour is from the devil.

Plants, God made them. The d interfered and made some of them poisonous.

herbivores God . Murderous bit the D.

You get the picture.

rabbitrisen · 25/04/2014 20:46

Considering the wind on Neptune is some 15 times faster than earth's why would god go to the effort of such a display of power in a place we couldn't even detect for thousands of years

The absolute wonder of God

I sometimes think that God made things for His own pleasure. Why not?

rabbitrisen · 25/04/2014 20:47

And why use a phenomenon that is explained by physics

Really? All of it?
And who do you think used physics?
And who do you think made physics?

rabbitrisen · 25/04/2014 20:48

and negates the need for anything supernatural?

Ha ha ha

Smile God has all the answers BD. he just slightly hides them from us all including christians

This post takes the biscuit.

RE poisonous plants- foxglove for instance- some individuals have been killed by ingesting the plant. So One of Satans?
But other people have have vital heart treatment from the digitalis extracted from the leaves. Is that bit God?
How can the same plant have been "interfered with" by the devil but gone on to be useful?

On second though don't answer that question- it's going to be the same meaningless illogical drivel that typifies christian argument.

deepinthewoods · 25/04/2014 21:27

What "bad behaviour" does a fox exhibit ffs!! It kills to eat- just like us human do- we kill and eat too- is that evil?

niminypiminy · 25/04/2014 21:40

I have to say, speaking as a Christian, I find rabbitrisen's posts completely barking and stupidly, preposterously wrong.

niminypiminy · 25/04/2014 21:41

And theologically ignorant.

rabbitrisen · 25/04/2014 22:20

It is explained in Genesis is it not?
