Just wanted to start a prayer thread for expat's little girl, Ailidh, who has been very ill with leukaemia. Just wanted to show our support and pray that her treatment works and that she is back in action very, very soon!

Yes! You are the designated during the week carer, giraffes. And you and Aillidh will be doing some chest physio.

ToothbrushThief · 15/06/2012 14:00

Loving her comments to staff. TBH I bet they do too because it's a sign of a healthier child

ripsishere · 15/06/2012 14:17

I am so glad you sound so postivie today. It really is great to read.
Enjoy being out of the hospital. Fingers crossed it won;t be long before A is out too.

So pleased everything is so much more positive. Grin

I like the way everyone is tuned into expat's spiritual side. What I miss is her laundry advice Grin. Aillidh sounds like a lassie who is feeling a bit better, and long may it continue.

Love, love, love how she's bossing the doctors around! She must be on the mend.

Sats were dropping while asleep so buzzed and now on oxygen. Every so often she will wake and say"giraffes?" And when I say yes am here. She tells me to stroke her head.

StealthPolarBear · 15/06/2012 15:55

Glad things are looking up for A. Giraffes, you are a great friend to the expat family, and expat, hope you enjoyed a windy couple of hours away from hospital. Still praying for those platelets to stay jiggy.

Giraffes, I sent a card after you pm'd me - has it arrived? Winnie the pooh and hugs one - for her bday (we drew some balloons and a cake on the envelope)

Hugs to all x

Mirage · 15/06/2012 16:02

Bossy is good.I posted a little something off today too.

Elephantscantdothemoonwalk · 15/06/2012 16:05

Oh no :(

Furball · 15/06/2012 17:57

If someone could inbox me the address - I would gladly send a birthday card Smile

chipmonkey · 15/06/2012 19:58

Needing oxygen probably not the worst thing if she has a lung infection. When that clears I'm sure she'll be able to breathe just fine all on her own.

expatinscotland · 15/06/2012 20:02

She has twelve neutrophils and fifteen lymphocytes and her CRP is down to 118.

Sirzy · 15/06/2012 20:06

Not sure what that means but it sounds positive!

Funsponge · 15/06/2012 20:45

Hurrah for neutrophils!

Hurrah for lymphocytes!

Hurrah for Aillidh!

Funsponge · 15/06/2012 20:47

Hurrah for Expat!

Hurrah for Giraffes!

Elephantscantdothemoonwalk · 15/06/2012 20:56

Giraffes, you sound like such a nice lady.

Allidh is in my prayers again tonight as she has been each night all week. I know that you and Allidh will get through this expat. I just feel it in my bones. (oh heck!)
