Just wanted to start a prayer thread for expat's little girl, Ailidh, who has been very ill with leukaemia. Just wanted to show our support and pray that her treatment works and that she is back in action very, very soon!

Northernlurker - a great verse and personally significant. expat - I didn't post this morning because I wanted to say something along the lines of ...I know it's still a long way to go.... but felt it was very negative and it's important to keep strong and spirits up. I just wanted to acknowledge that the good news is really good but we're still with you on what is a long slow journey back for Aillidh. Bug busting prayers are coming.

ChuckUFarley · 14/06/2012 17:57

Northern - those words sent goosebumps all over me.

ReindeerBollocks · 14/06/2012 21:14

Sending healing wishes to little A, and strength to her family.

smokinaces · 14/06/2012 21:18

expat, somehow I have missed all of this. I am so sorry to hear your beautiful daughter has been so ill. I really hope this is a turning point for her, and shes home with her family soon. Thinking of all of you x

We have Nurse Loud Ass tonight who also likes to leave lights on.

She will soon desist from this practice.

And giraffes has special permission to sit with A tomorrow afternoon so I can go to town centre and get her birthday celebration organised, in a gale, of course, Glasgow style :).

Buntingbunny · 15/06/2012 00:41

Best wishes for a quiet night little Aillidh, sending best bug busting vibes.

ripsishere · 15/06/2012 05:50

Grin at nurse loud arse.
My DD has joined your FB page, so if you see a stranger in town, it's her.
Great news that gifaffes has been given special sitting permission.

StealthPolarBear · 15/06/2012 07:13

:)

peggyblackett · 15/06/2012 07:18

:) at she will soon desist from this practice.

Still sending lots of healing thoughts for lovely Aillidh, and I hope she gets some peace to rest today without loud ass nurse.

Haha at nurse loud arse, but having spent lots of time in hospital with DS2, I sooo know how annoying that is!

Enjoy your trip out, it will be lovely just to take a deep breath of fresh air.

Still thinking of you all.

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 15/06/2012 08:37

Just a tad Wink After weeks and weeks of only waving through the window I can't wait to speak to her properly again

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 15/06/2012 08:38

Just put my car in to Arnold Clark and I was guilt tripping them in to having my car ready for 12!

CinnabarRed · 15/06/2012 09:11

Have a fab time both of you, giraffes and expat!

LostInWales · 15/06/2012 10:16

Giraffes you must make sure to send her all our love GrinWink

Sending up some immune system boosting prayers today.

expatinscotland · 15/06/2012 10:25

She's already rebuffing me in favour of giraffes. :o After nearly 8 weeks together, she's probably sick of the sight of me. She told one of her two doctors, a mum of several children herself, 'You go away!' and told her consultant, a professor, 'Oh, no, not you again!' and 'Why are you always here? Go see someone else.'

She's fed up. I love it when she tells them, 'You're finished and that's final.' Or 'No, thank you,' when they ask if she wants some meds.

mummylin2495 · 15/06/2012 10:28

sssSo expat ,is it the 19th Juneyou will be having her birthday picnic ? If so i wil rally the troops so we can all join in to celebrate her birthday.

Northernlurker · 15/06/2012 10:46

A is a feisty Scotch lass! Smile The Scottish part from her dad - where does she get the feisty side from? Wink

thejaffacakesareonme · 15/06/2012 10:51

Have a great time in town getting stuff for Aillidh. Hope the drizzle lets up for you. Great to hear that Aillidh is giving the medics a hard time - she must be feeling a lot better.

Giraffes - have a fab time this afternoon.

StealthPolarBear · 15/06/2012 10:54

expat your posts sound so much better, you sound so much happier in yourself. It's lovely to hear. Before long you'll be back to giving us all (((hugs))) and calling everyone hun and kisses.
Or am I thinking of someone else? Wink

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 15/06/2012 12:27

Off to go and pick up my car then I will be up and you can go OUT.

Do you think they will let me in again after today if you need to do stuff? Cos other wise I might just refuse to come back out. Shall I handcuff myself to Aillidh?
