DutchOma · 14/12/2011 16:07

I thought it was time to set up a new thread for Christmas.

Will just leave it short and give you all the opportunity to add your own prayers.

Nickelbabe Prayers of thanks for the delivery of her little girl, continuing prayers for her and the baby. We look forward to you to be able to update us.

MHD prayers that the medical team will get their act together, but also that you will be able to be at home and stay at home over Christmas.

Soozi we know how hard things have been for you for such a long time. Prayers that you will find the strength to cope, especially at this Christmas time.

CaptainDippy Prayers for comfort and joy.

Prayers for all of us that we will proclaim the birth of the Saviour to a world in need.

There is a prayer thread for Cupoftea's Beatrice (who is three months old today) here

Marking my place too. For those trying to work out what we've been praying for, I'm at the end of my first year of treatment for breast cancer. Another year to go. DH has had one eye operation with another in January.

Keeping everyone in prayers

JentlyDoesIt · 16/12/2011 21:56

Oh my goodness, hadn't seen the fb thing Sad would definitely like this removed...

Many prayers for the continued poorly-ness that's going around

MHD - lots of prayers for you

Please could you spare me a prayer tonight, very wobbly & sad & feel very lonely Sad thank you x

JugglingWithGoldandMyrhh · 16/12/2011 22:47

Sorry you're feeling bad JDI - Gently does it, hey ? Smile
love and prayers x

blackeyedsanta · 16/12/2011 23:50

oh jently, you are doing so well. anniversarys are always hard. did you have a good visit? take it easy tomorrow. (((hugs)))

madangelhairday · 17/12/2011 10:14

You OK this morning Jently? Praying.

Can't believe the like button is still here, have MNHQ responded at all?

I managed to get out yesterday. dh took me out for lunch at a lovely pub in the country. Was just wonderful to get out of the house and see the snow and just be out for a bit. was exhausted after but worth it.

Will be staying in today though.

blackeyedsanta · 17/12/2011 12:34

how is that sermon going mary?

DutchOma · 17/12/2011 15:15

MN are not doing a lot about the FB button. They say it is the weekend and the techs are having a day off. they also say that the FB button has been there a long time (about two years) and nobody batted an eyelid. They have not reacted at all to my request to remove it from the prayer thread.
They say it is not a commercial thing, they say that they care desperately about their contributors, that they will take everybody's opinion into account, but in the meantime they left Helen to field all questions and comments, some of which got quite nasty in true MN fashion before Olivia came on the scene and made some halfheartedly jokey comments.
The thread in ow nearly full.

:( Amber. Praying.

Jently how lovely. Hope you enjoy your evening.

TACP! Missed you. Hope all is well.

Feeling sad as everyone is off carol singing round the streets then to a friends for mulled wine etc. Watching top 40 Christmas songs and drinking baileys coffee.

JugglingWithGoldandMyrhh · 17/12/2011 19:38

Oohh, must go and watch Strictly !
Love to all x

FriendofDorothy · 17/12/2011 19:40

I would appreciate prayers. We have been trying to conceive for 15 months and I have just about lost hope. My next period is due next Friday, on my birthday, and I am not sure I am going to cope :(

SESthebrave · 17/12/2011 19:51

Hello!

Apologies for not posting for a few months. I have been lurking a bit but just struggling to keep up. In true Catholic style - I ask your forgiveness Xmas Smile

MHD - prayers for you and that you will be able to enjoy your Christmas at home.

Amber - prayers for you, your friend and her family :(
Prayers also for you and your DH.

Jently - well done on getting through the year. Prayers for the future days and thanks for your friend and what will hopefully be a lovely evening of friendship, SCD and good food.

Noteven - welcome and prayers for you in your personal battle.

BES - hope both children are doing better

Hello everyone I've not personally name checked and prayers for everyone to have blessed couple of weeks over Christmas.

As for me, we could do with prayers for DH's job situation. He is desperately unhappy and stressed with work which is unlike him. He isn't sleeping well, having stress related digestive problems and the high blood pressure he already suffers is edging up again. He has had a couple of interviews with other companies in the last few weeks but not heard anything back.

SESthebrave · 17/12/2011 19:53

FriendofDorothy - sorry I x-posted with you. Will definitely say a few prayers for you. I have an understanding of what you are going through as it took 18mo to conceive DS and over 12mo to conceive DC2.
Prayers for you and your DH and for a BFP in the coming months.

JugglingWithGoldandMyrhh · 17/12/2011 20:16

Dear Friend of Dorothy - Thinking of you. It took me over a year to conceive DC1 which you just don't expect do you ? Maybe time to talk with your GP if you haven't yet and see if there might be any problems which could possibly be addressed ? I remember finding not being pregnant very difficult. But be hopeful, hey ?

MaryBeWaiting · 17/12/2011 20:19

Sermon is nearly there, BES, thanks for asking. Still shouldn't be on MN, should be finishing it off! Blush The sermon is about faithfulness.

blackeyedsanta · 17/12/2011 23:43

..and i should be in bed, but am calming down after visit by dc's dad.

going soon ...promise.

FriendofDorothy · 17/12/2011 23:50

I have seen my GP. I live in Guernsey which means I have to wait to see the specialist and I can't even apply to go private at the moment because there is such a waiting list. We have been told that we won't be seen for an initial appointment before March which is very frustrating and upsetting.
