I thought it was time to set up a new thread for Christmas.

Will just leave it short and give you all the opportunity to add your own prayers.

Nickelbabe Prayers of thanks for the delivery of her little girl, continuing prayers for her and the baby. We look forward to you to be able to update us.

MHD prayers that the medical team will get their act together, but also that you will be able to be at home and stay at home over Christmas.

Soozi we know how hard things have been for you for such a long time. Prayers that you will find the strength to cope, especially at this Christmas time.

CaptainDippy Prayers for comfort and joy.

Prayers for all of us that we will proclaim the birth of the Saviour to a world in need.

Have got to work half an hour early this morning so sitting outside in the car reading through on my phone and praying.

weegie - how awful for you. Prayers for healing, strength and God to be at the centre of the situation.

Amber - prayers of thanks for happy consultant and good results.

Dorothy - prayers for you and for your cat that she will show resilience and strength.

mousie - continued prayers for you and your treatment and also for the situation at church.

TUO - how fantastic for DD2 but yes I'd be a bit Hmm at the early start!

Sorry for not name checking everyone but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Two prayer requests from me:

  1. my best friend, her DH and 6yo DD. They live 250 miles away and her DH is a quadraplegic who has been trying to get a pressure sore to heal for over a year now. He is normally so independent and positive despite his severe disability but for the last year has been spending a maximum of 3hrs out of bed three times a week. The sore has improved but won't complete healing. They are all frustrated, down and my friend is full time carer as well as working 3 days a week and looking after their DD. She is amazing but struggling.

  2. You may remember my DH being unhappy at work and receiving a job offer from another company that was great but would have meant a £800 drop in monthly income coinciding with losing my income to ML. Well when he handed in his notice, his current company have offered him a new job which he finds appealing with the same salary package he is on now but a different line manager. It is decision time this weekend so please pray for God's wisdom to help us. Money helps but I'd rather DH is happy and healthy.

blackeyedsusan · 14/01/2012 10:23

ses... decisions, decisions. hope you can think clearly.

mousie, thanks . the person who sorts these things out has gone down to look at the garage, still jammed. she has given me a number to call and a man is coming out to look this morning. costing a lot though and we are not sure who has got to pay. I will be paying this morning and we will sort it out after that. not sure whose garage it is. we own a different garage that we are renting out to someone else.

DutchOma · 14/01/2012 10:36

SES In itself that is already an answer to prayer, isn't it?

Prayers offered for your friends too, so frustrating to be so far away from them

BES Praying that the door will open for you too Smile and that the owner of the garage will pay for the expense

*Mousie" keep going, we are with you in prayer and thanks giving all the way.

Hi all. Been a very long time since I was in here.

Could you all put Aillidh on your prayer lists. She is the daughter of an MNer. 8 years old and diagnosed with Leukaemia just before Christmas. We are searching for a donor for her as her siblings are not a match. Please would you also like and share the facebook page and also follow on twitter and tweet about her? And please do consider joining the bone marrow register

Thank you. Links below:

Morning all - just checking in quickly - celebrating my belated fortieth today with a girls night and so trying to sort the house.

Praying for you weegie. You're on my mind a lot. If you want someone to talk with about feelings of frustration and coping with limitations I would be very happy to. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Praying for everyone as I read through - Amber, yay on the heart scan! Mousie, wow you're doing so great, we are with you and praying with you through it all, keep going for it :)

Bluetinkerbell · 14/01/2012 12:41

happy birthday to mhd/mr tinkerbell blue

How is the cat?

FriendofDorothy · 14/01/2012 17:19

My cat is home! A very expensive vet bill but she is home, for now. We will see how long she stays well-ish for and then make decisions as we need to.

amberlight · 14/01/2012 18:38

Hurrah re the cat, Friendof Dorothy!

blackeyedsusan · 14/01/2012 20:19

Notquitegrownup · 14/01/2012 20:56

Marslady Welcome back! And I thought that I had been away for a long time!

Prayers for Aillidh and Expat, of course.

Could I also ask for prayers for a friend, S, and her little daughter, born at 27 weeks. Her dd is soooo tiny, muchly in need of protection and prayer.

lostmywellies · 14/01/2012 22:08

Hope you are having happy belated birthday celebrations, mhd.

mousie, I love reading your posts - I find them so uplifting. Your thoughts on your own experiences and other people's are very refreshing. :) Well done on your first week (or 4) completed!

bes, glad you've got your freedom back!

weegie, SES, TUO - prayers. And prayers for those I've not named individually.

JugglingWithSnowballs · 15/01/2012 07:40

Blackeyedsusan "Welcomehome dorothy cat" - Ahh, that's so sweet Smile

Love and prayers to all x

Please continue to pray for me as we continue into 2012 that I will be able to find the right job ( As a TA in a school, perhaps supporting a child one to one ? ) that will also balance well with looking after my two DCs (12 and 10)

I'm hoping God may have a child and family for me to support somewhere in this City !

I feel he/she ?! has already told me that he has already put children and families on my heart - and in a way he's already given me the job - He keeps finding me many different opportunities in everyday situations like listening to someone on the school run. The other day I said to someone " Hi ! How are you ?" and she said "Not good, actually" so we talked for ages about how things were and she said it made her feel a bit better. So, please pray for her and all the other people God keeps putting in my path, so that whether in paid employment or otherwise, I can find useful work to be doing, and have the energy to do it well.

madhairday · 15/01/2012 15:36

Marslady - continuing to pray for expat and Ailidh and tweeting etc. Thanks for popping in. Sorry I didn't see your post yesterday, not sure what happened!!

Had such a lovely party, felt so blessed with so many friends come some quite far, was a lovely evening, I just appreciate every day I have energy now and all is so much better at the moment. :)

Prayers continuing

TotallyUnheardOf · 15/01/2012 16:57

So glad you had a good time, MHD. And thanks indeed for good friends...

Good news about your cat, too, Dorothy.

Prayers for Aillidh and Expat, of course, and for weegie and BES and juggling and everyone who needs them.

Good day today... early start to get back in time, but dd2 did us all proud at church and was described by the head server as 'a treasure' (which she is, of course).

blackeyedsusan · 15/01/2012 17:01

good news about dd2 tuo. sympathies for having to get up early though!

I have done exactly 1 year as a single parent. I am glad to get to the annivesarry. the wory of what I might feel is worse than the actual day (so far)

TotallyUnheardOf · 15/01/2012 17:37

(((BES)))

I was thinking about you the other day, knowing the anniversary was coming up, but not sure when. You've done brilliantly, through a really tough year. Praying for a more tranquil 2012.

(Incidentally, dd1 refused to come this morning, but has said she'll come next week... Bit Sad but praying that it'll grow on her...)

blackeyedsusan · 16/01/2012 07:18

moning all.

notevenamousie · 16/01/2012 08:44

bes well done you - for doing the right thing and getting through it. Anniversaries are funny things, I hope this year is one of better things for you and for the DC. What a wonderful strong lady you are.

Hi to everyone else, week 2 and feeling good about it. Praise God!!

weegiemum · 16/01/2012 15:53

Hi there. Feeling ok today, mainly just a bit bored and lonely as I am unusually at home all day alone and i can't do anything much. Seeing neurologists tomorrow and am a bit scared about that. Everything is such an effort I am really tired but can't sleep.
I just keep imagining it's never going away, I'm stuck like this forever - not helpful I know but I'm finding it very hard to stay positive.

JugglingWithSnowballs · 16/01/2012 16:15

Hopefully there'll be some reassurance from the neurologists when you see them, weegie
Don't be lonely, we're here, and will be praying for you especially tomorrow.

FriendofDorothy · 16/01/2012 17:15

Not pregnant again this month. It's so upsetting :(

madhairday · 16/01/2012 17:26

Weegie praying for the appointment tomorrow that it will be more positive.

FoD - so sorry :( I just pray it will be soon. I wish I make it all ok for you. Sending hugs.

Can I ask for a few here as well. DD is really suffering with her psoriasis. It has got so much worse. Big bleeding patches and her face is now covered and scalp. She came home so upset from school today. Children are being horrible because she cannot use the soap in the loos because it exacerbates the condition (it must be cheap perfumed soap) so they call her skanky etc and won't listen :( AIBU to ask the school to change the soap? Surely this comes under disability discrimination etc as it means she cannot use what is there. She seems to having some bad days all round also with the teacher shouting a lot then telling her she is not listening (dd has hearing loss) when dd asks her what she said (teacher doesn't speak clearly even when shouting). I just feel down about the whole thing. ds having problems too :(

JugglingWithSnowballs · 16/01/2012 17:28

Oh, I'm so sorry Dorothy Sad

The only small comfort I can offer is that I remember it well x

JugglingWithSnowballs · 16/01/2012 17:34

That's a really good idea mad hair to see if school will consider changing the soap they use. Or at least supplying some that is for sensitive skin ( a couple of basins could have that type) Failing that could she take her own in to use ?
Sorry some children are being mean to her Sad
Teacher doesn't sound very understanding either. Poor dd Sad - she has enough to deal with already x
