I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

Happy belated birthday Sweetest, so glad the radio therapy is over now, hopefully he rest of the side effects will go soon.

I've been out all day to be with my dd. We went to fetch darling grandson back from his first day at 'big' school, he looked very grown up in his uniform, not least because the school jumper dd had bought before the holiday was already too small for him. He looked very tired, but by the time I left he had perked up a bit and was most affectionate at saying good-bye.
"I'll miss you Oma", he said. I so wish I was closer.

dd got a reading book and words on the first day back! but they are carrying on from last year, 8 book band levels behind those she was reading at home at the end of term. (eek) and the words were succesfully learnt one and a half years ago (double eek) how long do you think I can manage to keep quiet? (teacher needs at least 2 weeks to be able to get round to reading with everyone to be fair)

we are doing our own thing, using words she struggled over in Flat Stanley.

the thing is you can't really talk about these things without being seen as a pushy mum

Mary, praying especially for your DC today.

Can you pray for me, another chest infection, I'm not awful but I am utterly drained of strength. Funnily enough, sometimes when I have this I'm more aware of God;s presence, and that's the case today which is pretty cool, can't do anything physically but totally have this sense of God here. I'll cope with that!!

Some news from here and a prayer request: DH and I have applied to join Mercy Teams international for a 2 year stint, starting next August/September. Very exciting for us!!! We have an interview next Thursday (15th) in North Wales (about 5 hours away from us). Please pray for God's guidance in this. Thanks

Ooh and thank you for your prayers, Callum getting a Mentor at school, jolly him along back on the right track. He has lost his trust the teachers, giving him false predicted grades, bit different to actual grades (his words) sure he'll be ok.

Good morning all!! Hope you didn't fall asleep with your head on the desk BES Pig sty? You should have seen the lobby where my dd's tumble dryer (broken) resides. You should see it now. Grin Tumble dryer is still broken though, but should have a man to it on Monday.
