Grin

I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

Thanks
blackeyedsusan · 26/09/2011 18:55

ok so dd spotted them and wanted to know how to put them on and I am childish and couldn't resist. Blush

MaryBS · 26/09/2011 19:13

Oo, not noticed the Thanks, so Thanks for that! :o

DutchOma · 26/09/2011 20:00

I bet that is instead of the star we asked for on the blankets thread. The Thanks might be a bit more universal than a Star
Yes I thought that wouldn't work, but it was worth a try.

Bluetinkerbell · 26/09/2011 21:23

oooh flowers as a Thanks are nice, but I'd prefer [Belgianchocolate] Wink

Bluetinkerbell · 26/09/2011 21:27

prayers for everyone!

blackeyedsusan · 27/09/2011 06:59

the girl in flat downstairs has split up with her other half. she wasn't feeling well, and they wouldn't talk to each other. why do people who are not talking, shout to each other, loudly, outside, at 1.30 am til someone opened a window and told them to f off?

ds is a bit tired and refusing to eat, he is lying on the floor under a blanket.

blackeyedsusan · 27/09/2011 09:56

well, we got to school on time... just. nurrsery doors opened on time and we were the first in the queue. traffic was good today. the school whistle went late and some parents were talking to the teacher so we had plenty of leeway... today.

i am back off out to collect him in a few minutes as he only does 2 hours today. am celebrating with a Brew and chocolate Biscuit

Bluetinkerbell · 27/09/2011 10:01

woohoo enjoy bes

right must lift myself from sofa and get ready to meet MHD
looking forward to that, not looking forward to coming back home and having to tidy up as we have a Celebration Eucharist planning meeting in our living room tonight.

blackeyedsusan · 27/09/2011 10:12

oo exciting, a mini meet up.

urrrrrrgg to the tidying up. big black sack and hide it under the stairs

and shut all the doors so they can't see in when they pop to the loo for a nosey

madhairday · 27/09/2011 13:50

Just back from meeting up with the lovely bluetinkerbell :)

We enjoyed chatting about diocesan stuff and lots else. Was so lovely to meet you blue :)

Continuing to pray for all, esp Caz and her little boy.

Bluetinkerbell · 27/09/2011 14:31

Lovely to meet you too MHD ! :)
I enjoyed my drive to the sunny and colourful countryside and stopped at a garden centre to buy some flowers for Sterre.
So I drove straight to the churchyard and put them on her grave. Her little wicker star has disappeared, so there is nothing now to mark her grave. I assume it got mowed over by the lawn mower. Really need to get something sorted out. Need a little prayer that the vicar/diocese approves of my idea for her grave instead of a big heavy headstone, that I don't like and can't afford.

amberlight · 27/09/2011 16:23

Keeping prayers going...

LeoTheLateBloomer · 27/09/2011 16:49

I'm hosting a prayer meeting at my house this evening (well it's me and one other at the moment because I'm not sure anyone else can come!)

You will all be in our prayers. Let me know if there's anything else you would like us to include.

SweetestThing · 27/09/2011 21:45

Hello - not been around for a while as just didn't feel like posting. Feel a bit meh, really.

Will read back tomorrow. Friend in Spain still in coma - not looking good, unfortunately.

Have blogged if anyone's interested.

PositiveAttitude · 28/09/2011 07:13

(((hugs))) Sweetest and prayers for a breakthrough for you to feel less bleugh very soon.

We went to an interview yesterday. a 12 hour round trip, totally exhausting, but a brilliant time. We are one step closer to heading off to Cambodia next summer for a few years. We feel really encouraged and positive about it all. Exciting times. Grin

Prayers for everyone, especially Caz.

Bluetinkerbell · 28/09/2011 08:12

Never be sorry in asking for prayer, Soozi. Either for yourself or for your friends I am always happy to pray for whatever the need is, knowing that our Heavenly father cares about us.

Prayers too for Sweetest, for Caz and for CupofTeaplease who is having a very difficult time. See her post in the bereavement section.

Good to hear that your meeting went well PA

blackeyedsusan · 28/09/2011 12:38

phew,

congratulations pa very exciting for you.

how did your first day go soozi? prayed

how are you feeling today sweetest really sorry about your friend Sad

leo how did the prayer meeting go?

amberr tis the mad dash from one school to another, then home for a cup of coffee, then back to school to pick up ds, then home again for lunch themn back to school to pick up dd. stress levels not helped by by 2 secondary school children walking out in front of my moving car this morning. have rung the school and notified them.

LeoTheLateBloomer · 28/09/2011 13:56

It was great thanks bes. It turned out to be just me and one other; a relatively new friend who I really like and admire. We talked a lot and she brought along a Bell DVD called 'Breathe'. I don't know how familiar any of you are with him but I found it to be a great way to focus our thoughts and prayers.

Prayers continue for everyone.

I would like to ask for prayers for the girl I mentioned the other day, who has been a victim of domestic violence and whose dd is in care at the moment.

She spoke more about her situation today and told us that her parents are Christians and she's feeling pressured by them to go to church. She was brought up in the church but lost her faith some years ago. She is adamant that she doesn't want to go and feels very uncomfortable with the constant pressure. She knows that I am a Christian (I read the Footprints in the Sand poem to the group this morning) but I definitely got the feeling that if I offered to pray for her and her family she might bolt! I'm going to pray anyway though (obviously!) and would love for you to join me. I'd love for her to find strength and for her to feel able to turn to God when she feels she is ready.

Thank you Smile
