Spring into Summer - Christian Prayer Thread

It always amazes me to see the range of things we pray for: from praying for people with cancer at the one end of the range to praying for a lost telephone. With difficult mothers-in-law, marital difficulties and unfeeling fellow Christians all wrapped up in it somewhere.
And knowing with joyful certainty that God hears us all, that no request is too frivolous for Him and that He loves to hear our prayers.
So, I just want to pick out a few highlights to keep our prayers focussed:
We pray for Amberlight and Sweetestthing who are dealing with cancer. We commit the two of you to the care of our Lord and look forward to you sharing your progress with us. We are here for you, knowing how important praying friends are ? there is scientific evidence for this.

Then, there are a few of us struggling with health issues:- Madhairday and Gingercurl?s sister. I would also like to mention my dh, Bob, here. I so value your prayers because I find it very difficult to pray for myself and for him when the going gets tough.

BlackeyedSusan and Teaandcakeplease are both dealing with the break-up of their marriage and bringing up their children on their own. We pray for strength and also for the undivided support of the churches they belong to. Especially in BES? case we could wish for a bit more understanding.

With CazandBelle we rejoice over the latest scan and pray for peace of mind for the rest of the pregnancy. Do share your feelings with us Caz, if you are able.

PositiveAttitude brought two prayer requests concerning her dds. Dd2 was in a car crash a few weeks ago and really needed another car. Wonderfully, her boyfriend was able to come to her rescue. And dd3 lost her phone on a trip that was a miracle in itself after her recent illness. Here again, prayer was answered and a new phone supplied.

Dippy, we love you, thanks for prompting us to do a new summary. We grieve with you over the loss of friends, but rejoice over birthday parties and broody chickens.

Let?s pray.

Have a great time at the meet up on Saturday. Sorry I couldn't make it - too far away I'm afraid.

Lurking and praying. Sweetestthing - praying the family will know God's love at this time

Prayers for you all, I am amazed at the strength and hope on this thread when faced with such terrible things.
I wanted to come back and say thank you for praying for my Sil, she had a scan yesterday and all is well with the baby. I'm so happy for her and my brother.

Thank youSmile

DutchOma · 12/08/2011 09:13

Praise God, Flamingo.
There is such a lot of strength and support on this thread. Hope to see some of you tomorrow and PA tonight.

Friend is ok thanks.
After a really really horrible day yesterday, prayer of thanks for the many friends who got me through the tears and the illness.

gingercurl · 12/08/2011 11:08

I hope everyone who are meeting up tomorrow have a wonderful time. I can't come this time. DStepD and family were supposed to turn up to celebrate DS
birthday (today) but they rang earlier this week and cancelled. Oh well. We're planning a day out on Sunday when the weather looks to be better.

Thanks for prayers for my research. I'm not out of the woods, but think I may be seeing a way forward. I hope I'm able to work it through. Just need to keep nerves and blood pressure in check and head focused and make sure I get to bed at a sensible time so I get enough sleep.

Prayers for everyone.

Hello lovely people, sorry if you don't "do requests" would you please pray for my friend's mother, who has been involved in a car accident whilst on holiday abroad?
She is in a lot of pain, punctured lung, on a drip, crushed ribs, possibly other internal injuries too, thankfully stable and conscious. Also for her family who are so worried, & husband who has minor injuries.
Thank you so much xx

MaryBS · 12/08/2011 13:28

SweetestThing · 13/08/2011 17:48

Sounds as if you had a lovely meet :)

Praise God for looking after my friends' son - hospital confirmed yesterday that his surgery has removed all the cancer and he needs no further treatment. Thank you, God.

((((amber))) - hope you are feeling a bit better today.

I am suffering badly from my radiotherapy, throwing up and with a sore and swollen mouth and throat. I pray for the strength to cope with this and for my family, who are so worried about me.

RoseWei · 13/08/2011 18:35

How did the meet up go? Wished I could be there but distance and situation at home (DS1 with mental health issues and very worried younger siblings) meant it wasn't possible. But count me in on the next one - this situation has got to get better! Please say a prayer for my very tired and anxious family.

To you all on this thread - lots and lots of prayers and blessings. xx

DutchOma · 13/08/2011 19:48

It was a real joy to organise it and you were all brilliant. Thank you all for coming.
But I'm shattered now.
