People are abandoning more dogs than ever because of the credit crunch.
It's heart breaking.
Last year our dc's wanted to sponsor a dog they could visit and walk around.

They take in the dogs that The Dog's Trust reject- often because they are odd looking, ugly,old, or breeds people don't like.
We visit them, but I always end up with a lump in my throat.. - we have two rescue dogs already. They are all lovely dogs too.
I know there are plenty of worthy causes right now- the Congo is on my mind a lot.
but it might make a good pressie - to sponsor a dog and get news, photos, or even go and walk it.
