I think we might get a dog. Is there ANY alternative to a labrador?

I must say I'd rather have another baby than another puppy, they are bloody hard work.
and cod and enid know HOW MUCH I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER BABY.....that's why I think greyhound rescue sounds rather marvellous.
