DumbledoresGirl · 13/01/2007 21:58

lulumama, have you been on the sauce?

crozzer · 13/01/2007 21:59

Newfoundlands have 'wool' but they do moult, oh yes do they! They are easy to clean up after though because you can literally just ball it up together in your hands as opposed to mammoth vacuuming sessions.

lulumama · 13/01/2007 22:00

indeed i have not !! they are really breeds of dogs !!

DumbledoresGirl · 13/01/2007 22:05

labradoodles? A real breed of dog? Pull the other one!

lulumama · 13/01/2007 22:06

cross between a Labrador and a poodle , specially bred to be non allergenic and good family dogs

hercules1 · 13/01/2007 22:06

She is quite right. They are both breeds of dogs!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/01/2007 22:06

oh lord not poodles. I have an intense dislike for them. I dont know why. Maybe its because they just look so stupid and poncey.

I LOVE newfoundlands, but, they are just TOO big.

mine isn't this clean

DumbledoresGirl · 13/01/2007 22:11

Oh dear God they look nauseating!

But then, I suppose it would not surprise you to know that I am not a dog lover. If I had a dog, it would be as near to a wolf as possible, the way God intended them.

lulumama · 13/01/2007 22:12

i have two of these, lhasa apsos!

lulumama · 13/01/2007 22:12

DG- you are tres chippy tonight !

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/01/2007 22:12

awwww. They are lovely too.

My DP's parents used to have an Old English, but, I'm put off by the health issues he suffered which are supposed to be common in that breed.

DG - That really would be DP's first choice if he could

But Newfies ar the cuddliest dogs ever and you barely notice they're there, honest!!

Would post a picture of mine but no idea how to. She's the sweetest dog ever..as a (three stone) puppy she used to like to curl up behind the sink in the downstairs loo and eventually managed to wrench it of the wall by stretching in her sleep...She also pulled up our entire hall carpet in a sulk when we went out one night (no damage, she just peeled it from one corner back!).

Cor, but she's lovely though. It did occur to me to make arran type sweaters from her wool as a sideline. Would that be gross though?! A dog hair sweater? Not sure!

I don't know if that's really cool or very, very, bizarre!!

DumbledoresGirl · 13/01/2007 22:22

Chippy? me? Just bored realy.

I mean it too VVVQv. I would have an alsatian or something similar except that they scare the living daylights out of me.
