Now you are just being silly. I’m not dignifying this with any other answer. Maybe grow up a bit?

Hmm. Not much of any help in that response.

Mocking Starmer and his government is something the whole country is doing.

You might want to reconsider what being grown up means.

I’m saying we would have a different way of dealing with refugees. Most would be refugees, not asylum seekers, already when they got here so wouldn’t need assessing or housing at government expense. They would come able to work and contribute. Though I do think the burden of assessment should be shared.

So yes free movement.

So yes free movement.

Yes. It’s a good thing. I miss it.

There seem to be two things that come up often which are misplaced

The first country of entry - this only applies if you claim in that country and obviously people can move through wherever and make the U.K. that first country. Otherwise Italy etc would house all entrants

And that safe routes will fix the problem

There's no example of a country who has faced this and used solely safe routes as a way to control entry

Right. That’ll stop ‘em!

There are millions of tons of goods landed and sent every hour at Europe’s ports. Guns, drugs, stolen cars and god knows what else arrive and leave. Millions of container lorries drive across Europe daily.

And you can’t buy a blow up dinghy on Amazon in Belgium. 🙄

This is laughable.

If it was as easy as you appear to think it is there wouldn't be criminal gangs making millions involved and going through these tortuous routes to smuggle inflatables and engines from China into Northern France.

The entire reason that small boats are a thing is because the truck/container route was effectively cut off by the increased security measures at the Eurotunnel terminal. Small boat crossings started in 2019 which is when the "Jungle" was dispersed and the double fence was built around the terminal.
