If we got rid of the Prince of Wales title and got rid of the monarchy as some have suggested, where would we stop? Would the country then get rid of all titles? What would we have then? What would happen to all the treasures; sold off and the money spent on good causes or wasted with little to show for the money? The country might well be in anarchy, with different factions fighting for power of some sort.

History and monarchs have treated a great number of people/groups unfairly/brutally but that is the past. But we have to do what is best for now.

It might well be better to stick with what we have - stability.

William and Catherine chose to live in Wales for several years until he was summoned back to prepare him for being a future King. It is a huge honour for Wales to have William and Catherine.

I was thinking more along the lines of the arbitrary decisions about what people could and couldn't buy. Like Hancock in England, he was thoroughly enjoying untrammelled power over millions.

At least we managed to set shot of Hancock.

Oh the non essential items rules were mad! I'd forgotten about them.

I was working in homeless provision and they wouldn't even sell us sleeping bags, pillows, bedding for the homeless!!! In the end we had to get our head office to write a letter stating we were exempt from this, and that items being purchased were essential for the homeless community! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Surely you've got other things you can get annoyed about at the moment?

How about the fact that benefits won't be increased in line with inflation?

I thought the king should not have announced this so quickly without some consultation with the people of Wales. ThIngs have moved on since Charles was invested in 1969, Wales is no longer governed from London and is not not the same nation.

If most people in Wales want the title to be mothballed, I’d be in favour of doing that IF IT HAD BEEN SORTED OUT BEFORE THE QUEEN DIED.

If you feel strongly about it, why didn’t you address it in the last decade? You knew this was coming. William is POW and that won’t change now.

And basically all titles, as they were all originally about who has power over which patch of land.

You might wanna look up who, legally, owns all land in Britain, including Wales. Clue: they also own a crown.

Also, without Kate and William living here we would never have got a Waitrose on Anglesey. For that, he will always be my Prince of Wales 😂😂
