Natalie Connolly's case is not unique.

Over on feminism chat we've found many of UK cases of men claiming that women they have killed consented to it as part of rough/kinky sex game gone wrong.

Often, that defence works - especially recently when the women or girls are young, and often when man who kills them has just met them.

WIBU I ask you to sign the petitions, write to the Attorney General on Natalie Connolly's killer's sentence, and also let us know on this thread if you know of more cases like this.

Searching your local newspapers would be so helpful - especially those newspapers which might not be particularly online yet. These cases often attract little wider attention.

An update - and not a cheering one. The attorney general has responded to requests to review the sentence of the killer of Natalie Connolly. He has declined.

We are confident that Harriet Harman will not let this lie - and we will continue to campaign on this until this is no longer the 'correct' approach by the legal system.

What a striking parallel it is, that those seeking death are absolutely and utterly irrefutably denied on the basis that to kill someone [who's really desperate to die as a result of disease and endless pain] is murder.

Sadly, if others had claimed it was kinky sex, that would have been more reasonable! Just excuses an its shocking that these highly paid professionals in whom we trust to conduct justice fall so very far short of the required basic levels!
