WIBU

To ask you to sign The Independent’s petition for a vote on the final Brexit deal?

www.change.org/p/theresa-may-mp-give-people-a-final-say-on-brexit-deal

Yes, I know Brexit as been done to death. Just posting here for traffic really. Am prepared for the total flaming that inevitably follows. Light up those flame throwers.

Signed it.

Ihatemycar · 27/07/2018 09:32

Probably there won't be a deal to sign anyway.

MissSusanSays · 27/07/2018 14:22

Bump bump for the afternoon crowd. Just got back from a country show. The amount of gin was almost too much for me. Could have too much as not that fun to be tipsy in charge of a toddler!

On the subject of cherry or raspberry gin, you can also make it with vodka or if in France, alcohol des fruits which is sold especially for this purpose.
Put about 250g of fruit in a bottle and top up with spirit. After a couple of weeks in a cool dark place, have a nip. Add sugar to taste. Leave for a couple of months.

And while you are waiting, sign the petition. However you voted, the final deal should be approved by a nice big majority, as the terms of the original referendum were so vague.

Eatsleepworkrepeat · 27/07/2018 17:03

Signed, once I could track this thread down!

MrPan · 27/07/2018 17:09

Signed.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/07/2018 17:13

Raspberry vodka sounds nice.

Quietrebel · 27/07/2018 17:29

Think it can reach the million?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/07/2018 17:39

I think it will.

Don't you?

lettuceWrap · 27/07/2018 17:54

Signed earlier when it showed up on a friends FB. Have shared it to social media too.

Quietrebel · 27/07/2018 18:04

Hope so! I actually hope it surpasses the 4 or so million who signed for a re-run of the referendum 2 years ago.

beachbodyunready · 27/07/2018 18:49

Need more to sign, not yet up to 300k.

MissSusanSays · 27/07/2018 20:34

I'm not sure the petition is out there (on social media) at the moment. Haven't seen anyone else on FB pushing it. Or on Twitter.

OP posts:
Quietrebel · 27/07/2018 21:31

Hmm seems to have slowed right down. Still not at 300k

Quietrebel · 27/07/2018 22:58

Picked up a bit.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 30/07/2018 09:25

Let’s bump this up a bit, shall we?

ADarkandStormyKnight · 30/07/2018 09:32

Signed

ADarkandStormyKnight · 30/07/2018 10:40

375,000 signatures in five days!

averylongtimeasspartacus · 30/07/2018 17:11

Well it's summer and there are lots of worried threads about food riots, wibu to ask if you have signed the petition?

In other news, is there anything I can do with lots of tough runner beans? I haven't picked any for a couple of days and now, well let's say, I have a lot of stringy beans.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 30/07/2018 18:21

Freeze them. Come April you may be grateful for any scraps.

MotherofPearl · 30/07/2018 19:23

@averylongtimeasspartacus

How about making piccalilli? Or this variation:

MotherofPearl · 30/07/2018 19:24

After April next year you can always use it to liven up another meal of boiled turnips.
