WIBU

To ask you to sign The Independent’s petition for a vote on the final Brexit deal?

www.change.org/p/theresa-may-mp-give-people-a-final-say-on-brexit-deal

Yes, I know Brexit as been done to death. Just posting here for traffic really. Am prepared for the total flaming that inevitably follows. Light up those flame throwers.

Did you miss the current word of the week, Spartacus?

Stocking up!

TheElementsSong · 26/07/2018 20:49

Signed!

MissSusanSays · 26/07/2018 20:50

Out of wine is a major emergency. But not the huge international incident that out of ice would be at the moment.

I don’t care when beverage it is. It is no bloody good without ice in these dog days.

This is going to turn into a party.

A petition party, better than Labour, Cons, or anyone else's party now!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 26/07/2018 21:28

I'm set for wine.

Wine, tinned tomatoes and dried lentils I have in quantities that will make the Preppers Board blanch.

But I keep running out of ice.

averylongtimeasspartacus · 26/07/2018 21:49

We have no ice either and it's been 35 here. I am going shopping tomorrow

averylongtimeasspartacus · 26/07/2018 21:51

My freezer is full of tomatoes and I have lots of lentils and rice and pasta. My veg garden has produced lots of spuds and beans so I won't starve, but I have no wine or beer. Major fail.

averylongtimeasspartacus · 26/07/2018 21:52

I forgot! I do have two bottles of home made cherry gin! Saved!

SeekingClosure · 26/07/2018 21:56

Signed and shared on fb.

MissSusanSays · 26/07/2018 21:56

I am loving this thread. It has everything that I enjoy: petitions, wine, prepping and gardening chat.

Best Brexit thread so far- if I do say so myself.

I have endless bottles of gin. Because I quite like it and people keep buying it for me. But i’m TTC at the moment (like the last two years) so not really drinking it. Will come in handy for the barter economy.

I love lentils.

isn't someone asking for being an ardent remainer to be defined as treason! Guilty.

Cherry gin? Is that homemade? It sounds amazing!

averylongtimeasspartacus · 26/07/2018 22:58

Wild cherries, but of sugar, gin. Leave to soak, ''tis yummy

Unescorted · 27/07/2018 06:27

I might have to give that a go

averylongtimeasspartacus · 27/07/2018 07:17

Raspberry gin is good too.

Not only have I signed the petition- but it's being shared widely on Facebook too.

Good for the Independent I say.

MissSusanSays · 27/07/2018 07:45

Morning!

254,000 this morning. Wooooooo!

If this is anything like the last one it will easily bust a million.

Hopefully, the government is far more worried about what newspapers think and will start responding to the pressure.

TheElementsSong · 27/07/2018 07:46

Oh excellent news!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/07/2018 07:51

Give what a go, Unescorted?

The petition or that lovely sounding gin?
Grin

Daisymay2 · 27/07/2018 08:37

There is no such thing as lovely sounding gin! However I need to find a source of the pear eau de vie I fell in love with last year

LoveInTokyo · 27/07/2018 08:58

Is it one of those with the pear actually inside the bottle?

mostdays · 27/07/2018 08:59

Signed and shared.

Redact · 27/07/2018 09:04

Signed and shared. We should get a final say. It's far too important to be decided by just Teresa May et al

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/07/2018 09:15

One of my neighbours tried the pear thing.

Had bottles sticking out of the tree with the pears growing in.
