Your details remain private, I don't want to start yet another trans thread but I thnk we can all agree that there needs to be more discussion with the people affected by the changes in law!

Signed. OH signed too. Thanks OP.

I care about women in Refuges who may be distraught at sharing space with lady penis.

I care about the entitled misogyny of lesbians being hounded as they don't want to sleep with Self-IDs.

I'm annoyed at the blatant sports cheating by self-IDs who know very well they're dishonestly raking in trophies and cash via being physically stronger than female counterparts.

Im against Self-ID sex offenders being placed in womens' prisons.

I'm concerned that if a woman doesn't want to share a changing area with Self-IDs then she will be ridiculed for not wanting to be faced with male bodies in her space, and also labelled a bigot as her right to privacy as a woman no longer matters.

I'm concerned that #nodebate is an actual thing, and in a democracy it's deemed ok

I'm concerned that raising questions about Self-ID has led to women losing jobs.

I'm concerned that TRAs stand outside women's meetings and aggressively harass and intimidate women going in

I'm concerned by disingenious people who blithely ignore all of this, pretend any worries about this = transphobic, and think women should shut up about it all.

Transwomen living their lives - absolutely fine. Self-IDs dressing as a woman, retaining penis, affording themselves the right to tell women what to do and barge into womens' spaces? No way. If this isn't the exercise of male-born socialisation and privilege (whilst purporting to be a woman) then I don't know what is.

I know 2 transwomen very well. Neither of them support transactivists/Self-ID. I'm minded they're right when they say Self-IDs are troublemakers concerned only with themselves and will throw LGBT under the bus in a heartbeat to get their own way.

Great to wake up and see the number rising

Yup gained a few signatures overnight, hopefully today turns all the grey constituencies yellow. Or even better, orange or red.

A friend of mine has signed and shared this morning :)

MumOfTheMoos · 14/03/2018 08:06

I'm really concerned about Self ID but I'm totally shocked at the freedom of speech issues. #nodebate? Why not, what are you so scared about?

TeenTimesTwo · 14/03/2018 08:26

Mum Just to check - you know the #nodebate comes from the TRAs and not the people behind this petition who absolutely do want a debate?
(just the use of 'but' and 'you' makes your post unclear)

SweetGrapes · 14/03/2018 08:40

There is a link at the bottom of the petitions page to download data in jason format.

It's so interesting! It shows all the different countries where people have signed up too! There's people from all over... egypt, canada, spain, sweden.

My mum's an expat... going to get her on the case Smile

aRespectableBureaudeChange · 14/03/2018 08:44

Mum of moos - women are asking for debate, lots of men have jumped on a bandwagon of how to attack/be violent towards women and hammering them with " any man can say they're a woman and have access anywhere" ie Self-ID. That's what the "no debates" bit is about. We are not getting asked how this will affect women.

It is lost in the noise from the transactivists (who the transsexual community are increasingly saying - not in our name).

They come through quite quickly, so if you don't have it in about 5mins (and it's not in spam) it's probably worth trying again

JaimesGoldenHand · 14/03/2018 09:56

There's also another thread on this. Don't forget to bump that one too.
