Have signed.

BOFingSanta · 14/12/2012 08:22

I saw this last night- I am DISGUSTED at the thought of him picking up a fat check while he whines about how he was fitted up.

Channel Five are repulsive: they've only invited him because he's famous as a 'wife-beater', because his star as a comedian was definitely on the wane.

Yoghurty · 14/12/2012 08:27

Signed and bumping.

openerofjars · 14/12/2012 08:31

Signed. What a disgusting idea. I don't watch it anyway but they really have hit a new low with this one.

splintersinmebum · 14/12/2012 09:30

He wasn't a wife beater; his wife testified that he had never been abusive to her.

Not saying that he wasn't utterly vile to Anna Larke but, given that she chose to have a relationship with a married man who had young children, I think her family should lay low and not try taking the moral high ground by starting a petition.

QuietNinjaChristmasSpecial · 14/12/2012 09:37

He admitted slapping her. How is that not abusive? Would it only be abuse if he punched her?

CuddlyBlanket · 14/12/2012 09:46

He abused that woman wrong and vile.

That woman was party to ending a marriage that had children and hurting innocent people wrong and vile.

I agree the woman and her family should but out.

I resent JLC getting a cheque from Ch5 at the end of the day he has children to support if his fee went fully to his kids and any of his comments on the woman he abused or his opinion on DV were cut it would help.

BOFingSanta · 14/12/2012 13:21

I was being colloquial. He is disgusting, and chose to shag around himself. Implying that the woman deserved to be treated like that because he was married is ridiculous. I doubt his kids want for money- the fee should go to Women's Aid. But Channel Five are vile to give him to time of day and get viewers on the back of his notoriety. I never want to see his mush on telly ever again.

tiredemma · 14/12/2012 13:23

Ive always found him really unpleasant to look at.

His podgy belly always hanging over his jeans. And his hair...well, that deserves a thread of its own.

MayTheOddsBeEverInYourFavour · 14/12/2012 13:24

Sleeping with a married man is not illegal, abusing someone physically is so I don't think you can compare the two at all

MurderOfGoths · 14/12/2012 13:30

Has someone honestly just said that it isn't abuse because he didn't hit a different woman and because he was having an affair? Hmm

He was convicted.

BettySuarez · 14/12/2012 17:00

Signed - horrible Sad

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 14/12/2012 17:40

Signed, thanks for posting this nancerama.

Rindercella · 14/12/2012 17:45

I signed this yesterday - because you had linked to it on FB Bof.

In no way should Anna Larke's family now butt out Hmm He abused her. He was found guilty of abusing her. Why should he now court publicity and earn a substantial amount of money on the back of that? Regardless of how their relationship started, Anna Larke should not have to endure hearing him justify what he did to her every night on TV?

blondietinsellyminx · 14/12/2012 17:57

Signed.

And what BOF said.

jinglebellyalltheway · 14/12/2012 18:01

[shocked] that posters are seeming to imply that because HE got into a relationship with a woman while HE was married, she and her family have less right to be outraged when he abused her! [shocked][shocked]

no abuse isn't "worse" if it's to the wife not the mistress/girlfriend! FFS!

Rindercella · 14/12/2012 18:03

Exactly jinglebelly.

God, I think my belly could be awfully jingly at the moment. Xmas Blush

MamaMary · 14/12/2012 18:15

Have signed.

Pantomimedam · 14/12/2012 22:43

Signed.

Appalling that Channel 5 even thought about this. Have they learned nothing from Savile? Or are they so stupid they don't see that abuse is wrong, whether the victim is a child or an adult?

NativityNo · 14/12/2012 22:53

signed

Jellykat · 14/12/2012 23:29

Signed

Letting him appear on CBB would make his behaviour sociably acceptable.

Darkesteyes · 15/12/2012 00:48

Signed. And i agree with jinglebelly.

ThatBlokesANutter · 15/12/2012 00:55

He was convicted

This man subjected her to a sustained campaign of emotional abuse. That is just as terrifying, bewildering and CRIMINAL as punching someone repeatedly in the face. The things he did were designed to control and bully her.

And again i say... he was convicted. There is NO DOUBT over what he did.

And, for that reason, he should not be financially rewarded.
