Too many necks. And a typo (?) 'chat to us time too' Is that what you meant?

what's the "time" doing in the 2nd sentence. And "won by a neck" reads a bit weird too.

now I'm no pedant, but that's just wrong - it doesn't really make sense.

Surely something along the lines of

"The polls have now closed for our December Book of the Month, and after a very close race, Agent ZigZag by Ben Macintry won by a hair's breath. We're aiming to get the author to come and chat to us some time too, so watch this space"....

ok, I know that's probably even worse - but it makes more sense to me

IMO - the comma should be after "and" rather than "Month" in the first sentence. And the second sentence doesn't make sense. It needs something before "time".

Erm- the "by a neck" is redundant, and there should be a "some" before "time too", but that doesn't count as terribly wrong, so I think I am missing something....
