I keep seeing 'chocked' and in my mind all I can see is someone choking on a giant wooden block

How do people not know that adding the c totally changes the pronunciation? Where does the c come from? Why would you think it's needed?

What bugs me is people using crappy english in promotional materials for business. Bad spelling and grammar does not present a professional image.

Someone on our FB page was doing up their garden and wanted some 'graffle for the boarders'.

There's nothing wrong with it, it just seems so smug, and seems to be used out of context.

Example:

Q: What do you think of the name Seraphina?

A: Lovely, but I am biased as it's my daughter's name.

You're not biased. You think it's lovely and named your daughter it.

This the worst thing about Facebook, Instagram, etc. At least when people were talking to me, and not writing posts, I didn't realise the full extent of people's SPAG challenges.

When they say 'could of' you might not notice it, but written down, you do .
