Party bag alternatives

Any ideas? Want to keep the cost down, don't like the usual crap you get in them and actually disagree with them in principle but don't want ds's friends to have a go at him about having no party bag! Don't mind if it's not a bag, just need ideas for something to take home along with the cake.

Anyone?

4 is probably too little for marbles then.

Felt pens, note pad and chocolate.

Gobbledigook · 13/03/2005 17:00

Ages are mainly 4 and a few 2.5ish

SoupDragon · 13/03/2005 17:06

Are you near Ikea?

HUNKERMUNKER · 13/03/2005 17:06

Bubbles? Think the tennis ball idea's good.

JoolsToo · 13/03/2005 17:07

she's not too far SD

JoolsToo · 13/03/2005 17:07

oh yeah! bubble blowers are great!

SecondhandRose · 13/03/2005 17:08

Get 'em all a little Easter egg.

tamum · 13/03/2005 17:08

Smiley Whoopee cushions ? (make you popular with the other parents )

SoupDragon · 13/03/2005 17:10

Ekorre balls, 3 for £1.

tamum · 13/03/2005 17:10

Smiley jet balls more parent-friendly, maybe. Seriously, if you buy bulk stuff from Baker Ross you can easily get them a few nice things for under a quid each.

JoolsToo · 13/03/2005 17:10

blimey GDG - there are some good ideas here - you should be well sorted now!

SoupDragon · 13/03/2005 17:10

No bubble mixture. DSs inevitably opened the stuff in the car and spilt it everywhere!
