jetcat · 07/09/2010 13:33

i'm backGrin Sorry, i had to have an enforced break as couldnt pay phone bill till today Blush - poor junior doesnt know what to do with herself without farmvilleGrin

Fanny - Envy at your swimming pond! Did you see the Bestival highlights on the tele? Junior swears she spotted someone she knowsHmm

Mittz - hope you are ok, Ad's are a lifesaver hereSmile

Yank - i have sleep apnea and use a CPAP, so any questions, fire awayGrin Nice to see you by the waySmile

Crispy - 21 jarsShock I do 4, and think that's a stretchBlush I may go blackberry hunting on Friday though, see how many i can find.

Vinny - thoughts are with you, re your nan. Hope you are managing ok. I have been meaning to ask for ages, how is your friends little boy?

Lizzy - how is DS going with school? And more importantly, how are you doing with DS at school?Grin

Shiney - I am glad decisions have been made re job etc. Are you going to do something productive with your time then?Wink

i know there will be some i missed, but hope everyone is wellSmile

jetcat · 07/09/2010 13:35

sorry, x post vinny. THat is definitely not onShock At juniors old primary school, breakfast club was classed as childcare (was ofsted reg so that parents could claim help with childcare costs) so that would be totally unacceptable.

Lizzylou · 07/09/2010 13:43

Jet, DS2 doesn't start until Monday, they stagger it. He is with me now, and was upset when we left DS1 at school and he wasn't going. Which is a good sign, I think.

I am Envy of swimming pond as well, Fanny.

Have you any pictures?

Alicetheinvisible · 07/09/2010 13:46

Vinny - that is shocking really, i'm sure you won't be the only one to complain.

Lizzy - fancy putting my washing away too? I am on my 100th load this morning and there is no way i i'll have the energy to actually put it away after washing and drying it Grin

F wanted feeding every 2hrs last night so a bit bleary eyed here Confused

Got some birthday money through the post this morning, so going to the horse shop later to get some bits and look at new boots Smile

VinegarTits · 07/09/2010 14:00

i am not sure the other mums will complain, they didnt look like they needed to rush off to jobs, and looked like a bunch of chavs, and some still had pj bottoms on Hmm (i know i am a snob dont tell the rest of MN, i would flame someone for saying what i just said Grin)

Jet my friends son is doing well, thankyou for asking, he is resonding well to the cemo and my friend has even booked for them to go on a cruise for next Feb as they are very positive that he will be well by then Smile

VinegarTits · 07/09/2010 14:01

Are you going to camp in fannys garden at Bestival Jet? how much are the tickets? im still up for going

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/09/2010 14:11

Vinny, I think they have started selling now but can't be sure, if they are they are cheaper now. I am shocked about your morning, DS goes to a Sureatsrt nursery and theya are always there early to start nursery at 8.

Hello Jet, I don't have sky so didn't see it which was a shame, one of the parents at nursery was saying it was on.

MyCat hello hope your DD has a good afternoon.

Lizzy I will put up pictures soon I promise.

Crispy your daughter not eating? Grin

Walked the dog today and just about to go for a swim all that on top of 2 and a half hours of ironing.

YanknCock · 07/09/2010 14:16

Grin at 'bunch of chavs'

Even though I don't iron, I am such a judgy-pants about how people dress in public. DH and I are a total old-fart couple already. We sit down at the local shopping centre and say things like 'did you see the length of that skirt? It was barely below minge base!' and 'she can't even walk in those shoes, who wears 5 inch platforms to go to Asda anyway?'

TrillianAstra · 07/09/2010 14:18

Maybe it's not pyjamas at all but the new fashion among young mums?

Alicetheinvisible · 07/09/2010 14:35

Yank - we do the same! We go to ladies day at Newmarket races every year (me, my grandma, aunt and great aunt) and spend the whole day "Goodness me, look at her, ooh, that wasn't a good choice, were stripes the best option" etc, lots of fun Grin

Trills - Us young mums hey? Wink Do you know i am now too old for the young parents group? Grin

TrillianAstra · 07/09/2010 15:07

You could always sneak in Alice, you still look like a teenager. Have you had anyone tutting at you for being so young with two children yet? Grin

TrillianAstra · 07/09/2010 15:07

My skirt is somewhere between ankle-length and floor-length today. Do I pass muster? Nothing I am wearng was ironed though....

jetcat · 07/09/2010 15:20

sorry Lizzy, my mistake. Hope next week goes okSmile

Vinny, yes am camping, so at the moment i am like this Shock but hoping very much it will turn to Grin. The tickets are on sale now, i am just going through the payment plan option now - means i can pay for them over 6 monthes. If you remember, i can get a free one for a carer if you can cope with that idea, when i get sent my tickets i have to email bestival, and they allocate a free one, to be collected on the day. Either that, or £150 i thinkGrin Let me knowSmile

Alicetheinvisible · 07/09/2010 15:21

I haven't really been out by myself with both of them yet (well apart from the horses) but will see tomorrow Grin not helped by my rings still not fitting - ooh, did i tell you DH got me an eternity ring afer having F? I was Grin for ages as totally out of the blue.

jetcat · 07/09/2010 15:28

i have ironed three bags for life worth of clothes today, and am totally fed up now. My tumble dryer broke, and as the weather is pants, i just took all the washing to the launderette down the road, and washed and dried it there. I did contemplate washing it at home first, but then worried that thats not the done thing - just taking wet washing to be dried. I am not up on launderette ettiquette (sp?) Grin

Very Envy at the horses Alice, though not so much the bleary eyes from a little newborn, no matter how gorgeous they may be!

VinegarTits · 07/09/2010 15:52

Yes Jet i did remember about the free one but didnt want to assume Grin

do you have to pay for your then? if so i can go halfs with you and use your free ticket, only fair Smile

jetcat · 07/09/2010 16:03

mine is £150 in total, but am paying it over 6 months. No, you dont have to go halves - i would be paying anywaySmile

VinegarTits · 07/09/2010 16:07

thats fabbo, i will think of some other way of repaying you though

i am ovulating, i get terrible pains when i am Hmm want to go home now but cant because i was late grrrr

mittz · 07/09/2010 16:24

Oh that is so lovely Alice Smile xx

That's worrying Vinny.. you should feel safe and relaxed leaving your child with people not have it causing more angst.

I love long skirts Trills. I am just digging mine out.Could do with couple of ankle length petticoats. Might google for some.

Jet Smile

MyCat.. how did DD get on, so many wee ones starting this year DD will be a junior and that is weir

I'm one of the ones that gets Hmm comments for dressing for the school run. I don't particularly, I just love clothes but

We don't have Sky, our tele is ancient much to DS's disgust. Don't even get channel 5.

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 07/09/2010 16:36

Yuck! Why are children's bodily fluids all projectile? F has just shat everywhere, including my handwash only throw which is now in the machine on a silk wash. Now have 2 extra loads of washing to do

May have to get a rather large chocolate bar on the way to the horses (medicinal)

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/09/2010 17:09

Oh Alice, definitely the biggest bar you can get.

Hallelujah, DD, picky eater is wolfing down chicken and pea risotto which she helped make, feeding her has got one very small step easier.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/09/2010 17:11

Oh and you probably don't remember but DS's Godmother who was going to Spain for IVF is 10 weeks pregnant.

mittz · 07/09/2010 17:44

Smile yayy! Fanny, bless her.

Ew to Alice, The squidgy ones up to the neck always got me!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 07/09/2010 19:58

I can smell bolognese. But it's for a lasagne for tomorrow (MIL is here). So I have to have something else.

wastingaway · 07/09/2010 20:44

That's good news Fanny, on both score. Smile

Ooh Jet and Vin, Bestival looks ace.
We really want to take DS to a festival next year, he danced his little socks off at the free fest in town on Sunday. Grin

Alice, I hate poo, I don't envy you. You did bring a very vivid memory of DS early days to mind then, of being mid nappy change and a jet of liquid shite shooting across the change mat and onto me and the rug. Grin
Newborns are just lovely. Grin
What a lovely thoughtful thing the ring is for your DH to get you. Smile

Mittz, I like clothes too, if they fit me I'd look like I'd stepped out of ID/Face mag all the time. Grin

I've had a lovely day, some old friends came over for a cuppa and a chat, Ds was mostly charming after some serious dead eyes to start with.
