Why is it on mumsnet?

That if you wish to feed your children healthy food,
not smoke when you are pg,
look after them and make sure they are safe
I could go on and on..............
you are ridiculed for basically being a responsible parent?
I do hope that the views on mumsnet do not reflect society as a whole, what a scary thought.
I have changed my name as I know that if I said who I was as usual I would be shot down in flames.

MrsGordonRamsay · 27/06/2005 21:29

Well I tried to go to LGJ, and you would not believe the amount of loose women queueing up to be the next Mrs G R.

I reserve the right as a Gemini to switch, was going to keep MGR for the weekend (Oeeer Missus)
but I encountered some predatory females this afternoon.

What is a girl to do ?

Howcouldyou · 27/06/2005 21:30

Okay HH. I have been so silly. Thanks xxx
Need to get a life and finish this pile of ironing.
Honestly I was very upset about the baby in cot thread. I suppose just because I don't think it's right shouldn't make me get so upset about it. It's none of my business.

OP posts:
HappyHuggy · 27/06/2005 21:34

forget about it

have you seen some of the threads ive started in the past - you'd have had to be quick cause they were deleted pretty quickly

Howcouldyou · 27/06/2005 21:36

HCY i can understand u being het up by said thread..at time i was a bit annoyed someone would do that but then taking step back we are all different and have different perception of safety and risk etc...i think people jus thave to agree to disagree...although i agree about being shot down in flames sometimes for contributing with a point of view...most annoying as people jump on u for being u. iykwim

Tortington · 28/06/2005 13:55

i thought 99% of parents on mumsnet ate organic shopped at tesco and though everyone else ins ociety was a chav( the word chav being an insult), i though they didn't smoke, they always breast fed, and thought everyone on benefits were no good low life spongers. most either read the daily mail or the guardian and definatley not the daily mirror or the son.
all have a herb garden and are "professionals" whether that is professional mum or professional worker. no one works at tesco.

everyone has diner parties and the saturday BAR threads are full of people who only drink wine as opposed to half a lager and lime.

everyone recycles and shops at boden. everyone is politically aware of societies divide but can see no reason why everyone cant afford a house in the burbs if they try hard enough. everyone goes to the gym or is on a diet.
everyones husband is fcking or thinking of fking someone else and everyone changes their name to get advice on it.

what other site could you possibly get threads on aupairs and nannies and "how to fire your cleaner" or "is it ok to pay my venezualan live - in help in cash becuase although i read the daily mail and thnk they should all be reported and sent home - i mean everyone except my venezualan who isn't paying tax, is here illegally and claiming benefits - how could i possibly live without her?"

Tortington · 28/06/2005 13:57

**sun

this spelling mistake obviously showing the meltdown of edumication in society. As does the lack of grammar

QueenFlounce · 28/06/2005 13:59

Howcouldyou I do think you have it a bit wrong actually
