ah of course it is. I sold her some fluff ages ago which is why I know the RL name!

Babybots · 08/10/2009 08:36

Morning all,

Just wanted to say the bad Ittis are a faulty batch that are delaminating You shouldnt have any problem getting them replaced though as Itti have admitted the problem. Most were sold in Oz but a few naughty ones escaped to Europe

I hope theres some Chocolate still hanging around for 11am tea break!!!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 08:58

I had to walk to the petrol station at 11.30pm last night because of you lot talking about it! Once I get chocolate in my head I HAVE to have it! Lol.

I have boxes of stuff I need to list for sale. But really can't be bothered! Preloved stuff I mean, not stock. But I do need the paypal if I want to order more stock in as my car has just cost me lots of £££!

I have got some preloved bamboo sandys coming which I am pleased about, which were a real bargain.

Does anybody know if bamboo sandys would be OK for nights on a 3 year old? The toddler version obviously!

Oh and I have a poo question too. Is there any way of avoiding disposable liners for weaning poo? I have just stopped BF and am starting a small amount of solids and DD2s poo is not nice. I hate disposable liners and don't really want to have to use them (and I would never remember each time! ). But her poo is now starting to go mushy and i am starting to think I shouldn't be putting it straight in the wash now. I Think I do need disposable liners but just thought I woudl ask just incase. Way too runny for a fleece liner to shake in the looo

Babybots · 08/10/2009 10:04

Jenny - I've never used flushable ones hate the things, just do alot of scraping and shaking! Weaning poo is nasty though

mumface · 08/10/2009 11:44

I have tons of flushable liners, don't use them anymore because last year discovered all the ones flushed away had gathered in system and blocked drain in my yard. Had to get someone to flush system out with a huge pump!

I'd suggest the Popli or Tots Spunlace liners (good with Ittis as narrow and much smaller) - much much softer as they're spun cellulose type. However is best to tear them down the middle (as with any liner) when you pop them in the loo, then they're less likely to block

mumface · 08/10/2009 12:16

I have Junior Joy,mothercare and tots spun ones & the Tots are my fave out of the lot, but think I would just do a really good job of decorating the walls with poo if I tore them in half

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 12:46

I have stacks of the different liners and boots ones are actually nice and soft but not flushable . But I just hate them. And there is nowhere suitable in the bathroom to change nappies really so it means carrying the poo from the back room to the loo I do do a lot of scrapping with DD1s when hers arn't soild but this is like really thick Korma sauce gross sorry if TMI

ager · 08/10/2009 12:55

Should I be embarassed that Bambino Mio nappies worked really well for dd1? They even coped with her once every nine day poos when ebf. I don't think they ever leaked.

mumface · 08/10/2009 13:04

I got on quite well with Mothercare smart nappies when Lewis was younger, which are really just a prefold, but got distracted by much prettier nappies.

OP posts:
LatinDAISYcal · 08/10/2009 14:16

ager, I was testing some prefolds for a parenting mag recently and although I was preared to hate them because of everything I'd read about them, I was pleasantly surprised, and as nappy systems go they are pretty idiot proof.

trying to do some circular knitting for my next pair of longies and struggling with a small garment (gloves for DS2) on too long needles. I thought I'd practice with something small first, but smaller = harder.

And a wooly question...can you use superwash wool for longies or will it not lanolise well?

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 14:22

ager - the prefolds actually work well here too and I still use them occasionally, dispite having loads of gorgeous fluff. I don't use the BM wraps though - prefer nature babies for prefolds.

Is anybody good at doing pictures and things on the PC and could help me do some poster things tonight to print out for my toddler group bookings tomorrow? Want some posters and stuff done to show other stuff I sell that isn't in stock, special offer posters etc? I MIGHT even be able to do it myself on the PC (usually use laptop) but not sure till I get on there tonight if when the kids go to bed. The laptop just doesn't have any software - not even microsoft office. If somebody was to do it for them, I will send them something fluffy in exchange!

Been making more fleece wipes today too during nap time. Can't do it when kids are around. My cutter is VERY sharp for a start! And Elouise would be running round with all the wipes anyway! lol. Have done red spotty ones today! Hoping to do some more tonight so I have lots of lovely ones to take to toddler group!

ilovemydogandmrobama · 08/10/2009 14:25

I tested Bambino Mios. Quite retro, and my neighbor loved seeing them on the clothes line They are quite OK, and perfect to stuff pockets.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 14:27

Oh and octo - micros arrived today thanks! 2 in the wash now, perfect timing as was just about to do a strip wash so stuck 2 in with them!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 14:31

One thing with using prefolds as stuffing - doesn't it make them very bulky? Or do you always use newborn size or something?

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 15:15

Octo or any other lollipop girls: who should I be contacting at LP? The address I have been using takes abouut a week to get a responce. I am a bit worried that the baby show tickets still haven't arrived? And I still don't have the forum details/login?

swampster · 08/10/2009 15:28

Bambino Mios nearly made me give up on cloth altogether 5+ years ago - nasty, soggy, poo-spatterers. Luckily I discovered Tots Bots and gave fluff a second chance.

TheNattyTheHippy · 08/10/2009 15:48

octo have emailed re secret santa

still no WN order here, getting very worried its lost.

ive used smart nappies, didnt get with them found they leaked alot, with all three of mine.
never tried other prefolds, they havent appealed to me. (lack of prettyness )

LatinDAISYcal · 08/10/2009 15:55

Jenny, there are contact numbers in the handbook. Did you get a disc when you got your kit? It took a while for my forum log in to come through to be honest; at least a week after I got the kit through, maybe closer to two.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 16:04

I don't have a handbook? Should that have been in the kit? No disc either.

LatinDAISYcal · 08/10/2009 16:13

I got a disc with my kit, but that was for the old contract rather than the new Advisor Club, so maybe it's different. Let me look out some contact details for you and I'll email you

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 08/10/2009 16:29

Thanks

newspaperdelivery · 08/10/2009 18:42

Evening all.

Right everyone. Nights. We are having night issues. Fleece and wool are letting damp through when she sleeps with us, as she is on her back.

My Bum Huggers stink and are old.

Do I buy new bumhuggers and try find a good PUL wrap, or persevere with microfleece and wool/fleece as it should kick ass again when she settles back in her cot [been having a bad week].
What do you think? And where is good for Bumhuggers? Anyone we know sell them?

swampster · 08/10/2009 19:06

Bumhuggers couldn't cope with nights unless boosted beyond recognition - which kind of defeats the point of a night nappy for me. Used mine for days.

It's got to be Bedbugs and BBH. Flexitots work well too. Or perhaps others I've not tried like Night Notions and Upsy Daisy night nappies.
