Hi there

I don't speak Polish but I'm pretty sure you're posting your message in the wrong Topic.

This is a topic for talking about problems with/suggestions for Mumsnet.

If you could let me know where you'd like to post, I'm happy to move your thread there for you.

Thredworm · 24/09/2009 12:11

Are you Polish, Prunerz?

Prunerz · 24/09/2009 12:14

No... I just lived there for a bit, years ago. Have you got relatives there?

Thredworm · 24/09/2009 12:20

In-laws in the UK Polish community -- some of them moved here post-war, the rest born in UK. I can vaguely understand a teeny bit of Polish 'Have some potatoes', 'do you want some tea', etc. but that it all. Should have made more effort I think.

Did you work there?

Prunerz · 24/09/2009 12:28

Yes, the usual EFL teaching stint. Was a really interesting year, 'the making of me' in its way. Would like to go back to see how it's changed. I have a lot of affection for it and really liked the people. (The brutalism got to me after a while though.)

ZZZenAgain · 24/09/2009 12:51

what brutalism prunerz? When were you there?
