Oh dear, it didn't work - got a message in red saying 'Keep Out!!!'.

Prunerz · 03/10/2009 17:50

MRs MerryHenry: "Random gypsy girls running up to her yelling 'faine Pani!!!' and shoving their hands into her hair for good luck?"

What does that mean then faine Pani?

MrsMerryHenry · 06/10/2009 20:38

Oh, I wasn't an IH Krakowian, so say what you like, duende!!

Faine Pani - not sure of spelling - I think it means 'lovely lady' or something. I don't care how complimentary it's meant to be; messing with my hair is not acceptable

ZZZenAgain · 07/10/2009 12:48

no, see your point there. Tempting to smear something drastic in your hair really, just to stop that kind of thing but at least she was saying something nice!

MrsMerryHenry · 07/10/2009 17:42

Yes, you're right - she could have been like the twat who, upon spotting me standing next to him on a half-full bus, screamed at the top of his lungs: 'White Powerrre!'

I came this close to correcting his pronunciation.

ZZZenAgain · 08/10/2009 10:53

LOL that would have been hilarious: "Now you really must be careful to not roll your R's. Shall we try that? It's not poweRRRRRRRRRRR but power."

You could have taught the whole bus to chant : "Poland for Poles" preferably with a scottish accent or something for the hell of it.

But then again, maybe better not!

MrsMerryHenry · 09/10/2009 17:16

glad you get my sense of humour!
