Hey ladies,

Would you mind doing me a massive favour? I have entered my son, Kieran, into the Sun's "Sunbeams" competition. Voting online is for 1 week only and the top 100 entries will be decided before going to a telephone vote.

To vote, please go to sunbeams.thesun.co.uk/gallery.php and search for 'KIERAN WALPOLE'. Click on his picture and you will see the button to vote.

To access the vote button without having to search (you won't see his picture if you follow this link): sunbeams.thesun.co.uk/vote.php?name=KIERAN%20WALPOLE&id=242933

Thanks so much, I owe you all one! xxx

geordieminx · 10/09/2009 17:16

Dont you just love it when people come onto MN to canvass fot votes for a snide copetition in a scum bag pape?

3 posts in the past year - all asking for folk to vote for your kid

donnaw25 · 10/09/2009 18:09

Thanks everyone! The second link seems to be playing up though, so if you voted that way, can you do it via the first method instead please? Sorry to be a pain!

The winner gets £1000 matalan voucher plus a modelling contract xx

Major cutie. Done.

Kelix · 10/09/2009 18:15

Voted - hes really cute

GColdtimer · 10/09/2009 18:20

No, because I won't have anything to do with The Sun and because I think you are really cheeky to ask tbh.

donnaw25 · 10/09/2009 18:28

Fair enough, twofalls. With 30,000 entries though, you have to do something to bump up your chances even slightly of getting through to the next round. I dare say there are some people out there with a huge family and friend network...(unfortunately I'm not one of them)

Thanks to all those who have voted, I really appreciate it! x

not comfortable with the exploitation tbh

geordieminx · 10/09/2009 20:47

me niether - and certainly not in the scum

lostthewill · 10/09/2009 21:05

Yes because he is so cute

50ftQueenie · 10/09/2009 21:10

I think this is a bit off too. My dd is in a local Face of Cloth Nappies competition and I wouldn't have the cheek to start a thread asking everyone to vote and that isn't even for a prize. I am a regular but still would think it was taking the piss.

gingerbunny · 10/09/2009 21:26

if you think it's taking the piss, exploitation, etc etc, then don't vote.
why did you even bother reading the thread?
the op's not asking for your opinions, if you don't like it move on.....

donnaw25 · 10/09/2009 21:42

Thanks to those who have voted x

colette · 10/09/2009 22:09

yes it is cheeky but in the words of Del Trotter 'he who dares....'

bradsmissus · 10/09/2009 22:11

He's gorgeous!!! I have voted for him.

EyeballsintheSky · 10/09/2009 22:13

Voted. He's very cute.

Ignore the miseries. There always has to be some high horse to get on these days on here, it's becoming a miserable place to be.

kikid · 10/09/2009 22:18

what a cutie.

geordieminx · 10/09/2009 22:21

I'm not on my high horse

 1. I think its shit that people are joining this site just to ask people to vote for their kids. - Its a parenting forum - for advice. How many kids are in the competition? What if every parent joined the site just to ask for votes?

2)Whats the point in entering a competition like that and begging complete strangers to vote - its not really in keeping with fair competiton is it - you might as well join every forum going from car to trout fishing to get people to vote - and in the end if kid wins then it doesnt have anything to do with how cute he/she is, its got to do with how many people you bugged to vote.

3)Its the scum bag shit bag SN. I wouldnt have it in my house. I would be ashamed if my child appeared in the SN. I despise everything about it, everything they stand for. Its filth.
