i really need some help here,

i am a reg with a name change,

xp is making/using/testing fireworks,

after our split i found out he had been doing it in secret at home, i was livid,

he has continued even though i had asked him to stop,

it is dangerous, stupid and to him exciting irresponsible,

he buys chemicals on line (some toxic) and them 'makes' them in his flat,

i am worried about the safety of my baby,

she only stays over once a week,

am i being pfb about this?

he says he knows what he is doing, i dont want to stop contact, i am glad she sees her dad, it is the explosive thing that concerns me,

would you allow this to happen?

WTF!

are you utterly insane?

no.

Hulababy · 11/07/2009 20:55

Definitely not ok

I wouldn't allow my child to be in any home where someone was doing this. It is a risk too far IME.

HumphreyCobbler · 11/07/2009 20:55

you are not being pfb

I would not allow this to happen

LIZS · 11/07/2009 20:56

If it is a flat chances are the freeholder and the insurers might have a thing or two to say about the potential safety risks. How odl is your dc ? Any chance she could accidently find these things ? Maybe you could contact the council for advice.

fryalot · 11/07/2009 20:57

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YANBU.

Absolutely NOT!

He is an irresponsible twat who needs to grow up a bit and realise that children need looking after, not blowing up

FireworkFury · 11/07/2009 20:58

i agree with you about the freeholder,

no insurance for all the poor other tennants,

he says he has put a lock on the spare room door so she cant get in there,

how can i make him see sense?

FireworkFury · 11/07/2009 21:00

she is just about walking,

he is a fool and i know it,

thing is, and bear with me here...

he really thinks it is ok

i dont want to get sols involved but it is getting more and more likely,

Bloody hell.

ThePhantomPlopper · 11/07/2009 21:10

You need to stop contact at his house until he comes to his senses.

"How can I make him see sense?"

Stop contact at his home until he removes all traces of this activities.

Threaten to tell the freeholders of the flat.

Report his activities to the police?

Meglet · 11/07/2009 21:16

Call the police, council health and safety and non-emergency local fire service number, one of them will know what to do . He's an irresponsible twunt. Don't let your dc there until he's stopped doing it.

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 21:17

Call the police.

FireworkFury · 11/07/2009 21:25

i think i agree but so far no one has agreed with me,

he says i am a stalker and i should get my own life

there is footage of him on you tube with my baby in her pram in the background,

seriously,

for anyone who thinks i am a troll,

i am not.

whomovedmychocolate · 11/07/2009 21:26

Are you sure he's not a trainee terrorist?

He should know that the particles in these chemicals are very small and he will be carrying them round on his clothes and skin and your daughter will be ingesting them. THIS MUST STOP!

Call the bloody fire service and tell them and ask them for advice - they'll probably call the police there and then because it's so bloody dangerous.

There is a reason you need a licence to keep gunpowder in the house you know!

i think it is illegal too,

1 firework, made and set off os ok, apparently,

more than one is not,

something to do with the total weight of chemicals,

wanker...

FireworkFury · 11/07/2009 21:29

how do i save it?

can someone do it if i link it?

what if he removes the vid?

OP posts:
FireworkFury · 11/07/2009 21:30

x forces,

i think he enjoys the buzz,

his idea of risk is VERY different to yours and mine,

OP posts:
whomovedmychocolate · 11/07/2009 21:31

Email Youtube, ask them to save it but remove it from the site pending police investigation - they will do so.

Even if he removes it it can be recovered by youtube.

Don't link it - you won't be able to use it in evidence if you discuss specifics on a public site (I think, I remember something similar a few years back).

FireworkFury · 11/07/2009 21:33

thankyou
