What's your toddler wearing to bed in the heatwave?

DD is 2. Tonight she has just pj bottoms on and a sheet over her. The window is open a bit but not too much cos I'm paranoid she could climb out. (We're upstairs). Her room feels really hot and I feel a bit worried about it. What are others doing? Thanks.

He has a vest and a nappy. I gave him a tepid bath before bed and that cooled him down a lot. It is hot up there, even with all the windows open. He has just a sheet too.

DD is 20 months and going through stage of refusing to keep pyjama bottoms on. She wears baggy t-shirts to bed because I haven't been able to find any nightdresses anywhere to fit her.

My ds1 is nearly 2 and has a nappy on. I did put a light sheet over him, but that is now on the floor. The window is open slightly but is still quite hot in there.

My DD is also 2 (just turned). She has gone to bed in just a nappy and is on top of the covers, with the fan on.

If she gets cold she'll get under the covers but recently she has been sweating like mad. Her hair gets soaked!

Just a nappy for my 19 month old. But he doesn't like clothes at the best of times and certainly not when it's hot.

dd is 23 mo.

She is wearing just a nappy and a sleeveless vest. I would leave her naked apart from the fact that I need the poppers on the vest because she keeps taking her nappy off ...

DS (22m)is just in nappy and some pj shorts he wore a vest last night but was wet through this morning. he has a sheet in his cot but has kicked it off and the window is ajar too but its still stuffy!

DS is 2, he is in just a nappy and short pj bottoms - no top. Fan on and window open. It's still 27C in his room! If you're worried, can you put a fan in there?

17 month old wearing just nappy. But she sleeps in with us so I tend to deliberately underdress her in case it gets too hot with three of us in there.

I live in a dodgy area of SE london and feel that I cannot leave a window open overnight, so it is just on its tiny latch to allow some air circulation. We also have a fan pointed at her moving the air around and the door open and all the other windows also on the latch so there should be flow of air through, but its reading 28 in there which freaks me out a little. My LO is 7 months and is just wearing her nappy and a loose light vest but I worry. Should I? What on earth else can I do? Planning to buy a plastic spray thing tomorrow and water down the curtains so the evaporation will cool the room. Is there anything else I ought to be doing?

dd is 2.4 and has on very lighweight cotton dress thing instead of pjs. Ds is 10 months and is in a vest that I have cut sleeves off and it isnt fastened. Very hot and sticky.

DD is 20mo, she is in a nappy and vest top (vest mainly to prevent nappy removal) and duvet cover without duvet in it. Gave her a cool bath before bed. Our house isn't very warm, but she's a sweaty thing at the best of times.

DD(2.5) has shorts and t-shirt jamas because she insists on them, plus pull-ups. She will wake up soaked in sweat, but needs a shower in the morning anyway because she fell asleep on the way home from nursery and only woke up (having wet herself and the sofa) long enough to put on jamas and go to bed.

DS (6.5) has just pants on, and will also wake up soaked in sweat, no doubt.

2.9 year old DD in our house, wearing just a nappy and still a pile of sweaty irrationality.

Watering down the curtains is a fab idea and I plan to copy that tomorrow. DD wasn't asleep until nearly 10.30. I can't take another bedtime like that!

The usual (t-shirt and sleeping bag for my 17m old). We had air-con installed a few years ago and is absolute bliss in this weather.

ds (2) was in a nappy and nothing else, but woke up because the nappy had come undone. So now he has some cotton pj bottoms over the top. No sheet or blanket. Window slightly open with window lock on.

We leave all the blinds down during the day, close all the windows except for those in the loft conversion, then I open the windows when it's a little cooler. Seems to keep the house quite nice and cool. I think not having the window open during the day helps a lot.

DS is 11mths, wearing a nappy and v loose vest (to keep prying hands out of his nappy) but its 30 degrees in his room. i've already got a fan on and i'm off to spray his curtains now

anyone with any other ideas?

Poor DS is in a nappy and has just a sheet (which usually gets kicked off anyway). He's suddenly developed a phobia of fans - crappy timing. So we run it in his room for half an hour before bedtime, and we also try to close the blackout blinds (which are thermal, apparently) in the afternoon to keep the worst of the sun out.

Opening your loft hatch might help?

We kept curtains closed in the bedroom during the day which seems to have helped keep the room cooler.

vest and a nappy and not even a sheet cos he cried when I tried to cover his legs. It is really horribly hot though, even with the window open. No fan either - he cried until I switched it off.

Had the blackouts closed most of the day and it's still horrible in his room.
