I was brought up with 'fanny' but that grosses people out these days. Lots of friends use 'nunny' which grosses me out.

What is the girl equivalent of the word 'willy' - what are you all using with your DDs?

Joke: Nair hair remover and the Schnauzer

My neighbour found out that her dog ( a Schnauzer) could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian.

The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears. He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell the lady that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the chemist and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.

The lady went to the chemist and bought some "Nair" hair remover. At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days."

The lady said, "I'm not using it under my arms."

The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't shave for a couple of days."

The lady replied, "I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer."

The pharmacist says, "Well stay off your bicycle for about a week."

Vagina or vulva.
You don't have nick name for a arm

Vagina and penis. We debated about it a lot and then dd literally repeated vagina (well it started off as bagina Grin) the first time I said it around her and it stuck. I get that vulva is more anatomically correct but I can't quite bring myself to say it with a straight face.

Some of these are making me laugh as in Scotland 'minky' is used similarly to manky e.g. 'she's a bit minky', and fanny is often used as a derogatory or ironic semi affectionate term 'she's being a total fanny'. Is it not the same in England? I can't imagine anyone seriously referring to a child's fanny or fanjo, I would for myself as a joke with my friends or on MN. And fairies and twinkles and flowers? Doesn't that just open up a whole world of confusion when watching Peter Pan/ gardeners world for example?!

My sister when she was little used to call it her ‘pocket’. She used to try put things in there too! ShockConfused

I recently went on a sex education in primary schools course and there have been cases where child abusers have walked free due to a child only ever being taught silly names for their private parts.
Eg a four year old said "I hate it when xxx strokes my minky" the defence argued that minky was a doll that she was possessive over.

This has been compelling enough for me to change what I was saying to my own ds and refer to body parts with their proper names, penis and vagina.

We don't give coy silly names for other body parts so why do we do it for these?

She came up with it herself. No idea where from.
