.........flameboy is sat on flame lap, and she is completely subconcsiously (or least, she was until she realised what she was doing) going thru flameboys hair and picking at him. (he is nit-free BTW, I think it stems from habit now)

I do the same whenever mine come sit on me (and radiate towards teenage spots too)

like the 'gorilla mums' you see on the animal documentary;s...((hasten to add that I am not suggesting we are gorillas BTW)).

I tend to nuzzle ds's head when he is on my lap. He smells really good.

DeepThought · 26/05/2009 12:52

No I'm not picky but I get irritated by the fact that your names are always in your thread titles.

Boring.

clayre · 26/05/2009 12:53

my mum comes in and starts going through my hair she doesnt realise shes doing it untill you mention it to her, she sits and goes through dd's hair too

I get a lot of satisfaction from blowing my children's noses . DD1 is going to stop coming to sit next to me as she has a cold ATM, and I'm reaching for the tissue before she's even got her bum on the seat.

DH is a 'picky' dad - DDs 2 and 3 have cradle cap, and he will pull the flaky bits out while they're sitting on his knee. Mind you, he will also pull the bobbly bits off their jumpers

psychomum5 · 26/05/2009 12:55

and actually.......we don;t always.

just occasionally

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 26/05/2009 12:56

hmm, more of a stroker than a picker. I do the nuzzling thing too though.

kitbit · 26/05/2009 12:57

Nope! Because we still have nit nurses here in Spain!

RustyBear · 26/05/2009 12:58

And yes I do -or rather did. DS & DD are 21 & 19 now & DD is showing a worrying tendency to pick at me...

Castiel · 26/05/2009 12:59

It's when you start doing it to dh you have to worry.

Psycho and flame are just attention seeking hussies. True. Nothing else in their lives at all.

phdlife · 26/05/2009 13:01

dd has a glaring whitehead i've been consciosly avoiding for a week now for fear of marking her baby skin. nuzzling's all good tho

psychomum5 · 26/05/2009 13:02

flame is shouting at me to point out that she didn;t start either of the threads.

and I only did one of them.....

nuzzling I do. stems from the nuzzling of their newborn heads, and that newborn smell, that never lasts long enough.

I'm a rifler - I can't have DD nearby without having to rifle through her hair looking for creepy crawlies. Even caught myself at school gates doing it

DS won't let me touch him now!

psychomum5 · 26/05/2009 13:03

altho the thought if us being hussies, while sat surrounded by our many children, is quite funny

DeepThought · 26/05/2009 13:04

pmsl at you lot

Castiel · 26/05/2009 13:05

Where is flame shouting from? Is she in a box? Are you keeping her prisoner? Do we need to come and bust her out? This names in titles thing is starting to make sense. You're issuing joint statements. She's been kidnapped. Let her out right now. I want to talk angels and hunters with her.

Flame · 26/05/2009 13:07

She's got me in some knocked up lady's devil's trap I have managed to drag in the laptop via the mouse, but she'll be back any minute...

Tortington · 26/05/2009 13:07

i used to when nits wee a problem. but we haven't had them for years and i haven't done it.

i do like squeezing blackheads - ut no-one will let me.

nigglewiggle · 26/05/2009 13:09

I snared my DH by picking bobbles off his jumper - rock and roll!

He still likes nothing more than having me rifle through his hair looking for bits to pick!

I can't resist picking at DD2's cradle cap.

I don't eat it though, so i'm not weird .

MiniMarmite · 26/05/2009 13:10

I'm a nuzzler too and I do love to pick a bit of cradle cap

Tamarto · 26/05/2009 13:12

I am.

Castiel · 26/05/2009 13:13

Flame, I'll be right there.I always suspected something wasn't right with Psycho.

Salt, check.

Impala, check.

Classic rock soundtrack, check.

I'll bring pie.

Frizbe · 26/05/2009 13:13

I pick through hair, if you check regularly you can get the nits whilst they're still on one head

Tamarto · 26/05/2009 13:14

oops posted too soon, DD is always getting glue in her hair so if i'm not bug hunting, i'm getting the glue out.

Anyone know a quick way of getting copious amounts of PVA glue out of hair? It's at the scalp rather than the ends this time

Flame · 26/05/2009 13:14

there are children demons that will need ganking too please
