Hi there! My husband is Argentinian and he speaks to my children in Spanish. I was wondering if any of you might know of a Spanish playgroup we may be able to take our children to so that they can interact with other children in Spanish. Gracias!

I have two children aged 3.5 and 21 months who have both had spanish three days a week from birth (a spanish speaking nanny). My husband is half-spanish and wanted them to grown up fluent. I'd be very interested in joining a spanish playgroup. i live in wimbledon village and would be happy to host some sessions at my house.

Probably too far for you but but they run a Spanish rhymetime in Blackheath library. I am also told there is an active Spanish parent and toddler community in Croydon.

Hello cuppycakesong!! nice nick! : )
We will live in front of Dundonald Park, near Wimbledon Station, thank you very much!! Dont you find some pkaygroup for your children? That would be nice to meet you and that our kids interact in spanish!!
Unfortunately we dont have find any nursery for my older daughter, its imposible to find one vacancy for only the third term, and its a shame because she's very happy speaking english, she is learning very quick and even she need be busy the whole day, she is a very active girl!!
Thank you for your help!

Hola Monni, perdon por retraso al contestar. I found the details of the Spanish playgroup:
St John's Parish Hall
135 High Path, South Wimbledon SW19 2JY.
Es los viernes de 10 a 12 y cuesta £2.
I have just returned to work so I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply. How are you settling in?
There's a large Spanish community in Wimbledon. There are a lot of Spanish parents at The Priory primary school as well as the Catholic school (St Marys), both good schools I believe. My children go to Holy Trinity, nice international community, not necessarily Spanish.
There are a lot of Spanish families in Compton Playgroup: Compton Nursery. St. Marks Hall. Compton Road. Wimbledon. London. SW19 7AL
And also in another nursery: Wimbledon Day Nursery, 32 Montague Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 1TA, but this one might be a bit out of your way.
Where are you from by the way?

Hi there. We live in Merton Park, Wimbledon and often go to the Spanish playgroup mentioned above. My little boy is 3 and speaks Spanish with his nanny when I'm at work, and I am trying to improve my Spanish. I'm on maternity leave now - I've also got a 3 month old little girl - so I'd love to meet up and chat - in Spanish or English! Please email me - [email protected]
