How would your kids have behaved if you'd become First Lady/President and had to appear in front of quarter of a million screaming people?

DS1 would have done a wee.

DS2 would have cried and buried his head in my chest.

great OP! i don't even want to think about what my two would have got up to...

DD would have probably mooned everyone and done the thing where she grabs her bum cheeks with her hands and pretends her bum's talking.

DS would have clung to my leg saying 'up, up up' til I picked him up, then he'd have pointed at the lights, wriggled to get down, found where all the mics plugged in, unplugged them, chewed on the wires then jumped off the stage in a clumsy effort to make friends with the crowd .

actually yes, my DS2 would have said "Light no!", "Light on!" a lot.

I keep playing these alternative versions of obama's speech in my mind.

actually now i think about it ds is the least of my problems. what will really scupper my 2012 bid for the presidency is the fear of what dh would do as First Husband...
and don't even mention the First Dog, which would chew the white house to buggery
