i fucking wish i were in America right about now!

it's freezing here again and lashing the rain.

and when my sister messaged me that she and her husband are enjoying another lovely, relaxing night in as her girls are spending the night with one of our cousins.

Aitch · 23/08/2008 20:15

delicious and virtuous. you can tell you don't live near an M&S.

do you make your own felafel? i want a good recipe, but one that can be done in an oven or done in a very shallow fry. i fear no such thing exists.

expatinscotland · 23/08/2008 20:23

Aitch · 23/08/2008 20:23

see, i'm genuinely a bit afraid of hot oil. so is dh, he was in a chip pan fire when he was a wee boy. i'd be okay with a purpose-built fryer, iykwim?

ranting · 23/08/2008 20:23

My mum fries chips in a wok!! Thought she was the only nutter person who did that.

expatinscotland · 23/08/2008 20:24

i'm afraid of hot oil, too.

hence, the fryer.

a gift from my sister, whose husband is a hick who grew up in a trailer (he's an engineer for NASA now ).
