THere is a boy at DS1's nursery who calls his parents by their first names. I was wondering if anyone on here does that, and if so, why? I'm not judging just want to know reasons people have for this, curiosity

my ds (3) does this a lot. Sometimes when he does it and I say, 'Mummy, not Sophie' he says, 'But you ARE Sophie' and I reply, 'Yes but I'm YOUR mummy' and he says, 'Yes but your name is Sophie'.

He also calls me and DH 'My Love' quite a lot!!!

He often says things like (to me) 'Is your Mum coming round today?'
Or 'Are we going to see DH'S name's parents today?'

No, I would be gutted to be honest. I want to be called mummy!

My children are 21, 19, 17 and 14 and have never called me by my first name - or DH. We are mum and dad as are my parents to me.
