Has anyone here got pregnant despite being on the pill?

I can't be arsed to name change.

The chances are pretty small aren't they? I have little to back up a niggling feeling, other than going off 2 foods i usually love, and feeling nauseous today.

I was on the jab, then a few days after it needed re-doing i started on the pill. Around this time DH and i had sex.

Have asked DH to pick up a test on his way home just in case.

It's a small chance isn't it?

depends really.. depending on when you start the pill can affect its effectiveness i think?always a small chance. hope you get the answer you want

I fell preg on pill. One in a hundred chance isn't that small really!

i don't know whether i feel sick because i'm thinking about it. it's such a small chance, but i can't shake the feeling.

I fell pregnant with dc3 when I was on the pill. I hadn't missed any, wasn't ill and not on any medication. It was celeste (sp?) and since then I've spoken to a couple of people who fell pregnant on the saem one.

yup. with dd1 twas a shock to say the least. but i wouldnt change things now

oh and the pill takes 7 days to start working properly unless you take it immediately after your period finishes. sorry but it does like you could be.

bronze i was on celeste and also not on any other medication and hadnt missed any and been taking it for nearly a year.

For a week, yes. But the jab was PROBABLY still doing something, and i was breastfeeding, so i didn't bother. I THINK we had sex a few days after the pill started, but i'm not sure.

Knowing my pill brand didn't work for 2 people on here at least is a bit aarrrgggghhhhhh.

will know in 2.5hrs, so will have to just stay calm. I have little evidence, and it's a small chance, so deep breaths i think.

I got pregnant while on the pill, and we used condoms to be doubly safe. Luckily I was married and very happy but at 21 I felt a little young! I was of the mindset at the time of 'well you got to give the little bugger some credit'

could you be making yourself nauseous because you are panicking? dont let your self get wound up about it. its not the end of the world. you will be able to cope with it.

You could be feeling ill because of that pill.

Ive been on about 6 different pills in my lifetime, some of them gave me migranes, some made me vomit, some gave me awful periods ...etc...

we had decided no more babies, DH waiting for the snip.

My head is a bit up my arse. We planned the 2 close together, but i 'knew' i was pregnant with DS2 without any symptoms.

i think i'm just being paranoid.

if i am, i could have hurt the baby already, by taking my pill and drinking.

Just wait and see what the test says.

I got PG on the pill too.
Probably because I didn't take it properly though, tbh, the pill is one of the least safe methods of contraception because there is such a large margin for error.

The gap between the Jab and the pill is enough of a risk, without any other risks.

I'd say it's very possible, but that doesn't mean you are.

i was 21 when i fell pg with dd1 and had no idea that i was pg untill three months as i kept bleeding and assumed these bleeds were periods even though they didnt fit in with my pill cycle iyswim?

i drank and more and still took the pill and dd1 is nhappy and healthy and very bright. so dont beat yourself up about it if you are. and its a big if.

Lol fio, I panicked that I was pg the other week and went into Tesco to buy a mahoosive bottle of wine and pregnancy tests.
I wasn't quite sure which I planned on doing first

Tattooedgrrl, don't worry about that, the baby, if there is one, isn't a baby yet, just a small collection of cells, so unlikely to eb harmed (someone explained this more scientifically somewhere but I can't remember where or who)

another pill pregnancy here - I was celeste too. Just kind of knew, despite unlikeliness of it (had missed one pill but scrupulously used a condom when we had sex in the danger zone) and tested around the six-week mark. DS now 4 months ...

hope this resolves the way you want but just to echo fio - I drank like a fish, smoked my head off and even got up to one or two other bits of naughty business while unwittingly up duff. DS seems fine with it - and was a more-than-bouncing 10lb 7oz when he deigned to emerge
