The father my child gets paid 750 a week after tax. How much should he pay towards my child who he only sees one day a week due to working five days a week? I get paid 300 to do me and my son as I can no longer work.

CMS calculator is your best bet. Will depend on if he is PAYE, and lives with any other children or has any other children with maintenance claims.

Why can you no longer work? Most people go back to work after 9m/12m maternity leave.

In any case, £750/w earnings means approx £90/w (but this could vary due to pension contributions/other children etc).

What do mean "to do me"? The money isn't for you, it's to cover a portion your sons living costs. If you can't work you should also be claiming UC. UC plus £300 per week should be plenty. Don't forget your ex also needs to live.

His fathers contribution is to cover 50% of your sons costs when he is with you. You should be covering the other 50% plus all of your own costs.

Do you mean you get £300 for you as some sort of benefit and then maintenance for your son… or do you mean your ex pays £300 for your son?

Does he have other kids to support?
does your dc stay overnight with dad only 52 nights per year - no holidays or weekends?

You need to make a cms claim.

My ex does not pay me 300 he’s being paying 50 a week I think he should give 100 a week he gets 750 after paying tax and also his bills if he took his son for half the time I would be able to go to work also but he doesn’t

Where do you get the £300 from? Benefits?

I do get it from benefits and also of course I don’t want my son to be with his father half the times I was just stating a point if he did I would be able to work to earn money myself

Cms would suggest £121 a week if stays one night (assume doesn’t if 9w) to £141 a week with no nights

So you get £1200 ish a month off uc to pay rent /bills or £300 a week

Why are posters asking OP how much she takes home? It’s irrelevant when she’s only asking about child maintenance.

The baby’s NRP will have to pay the same amount whether she’s on benefits or earning seven figures.
