I'm spiraling down a rabbit hole at the moment planning what I need to buy for my baby due in September. It's my third but there has been quite a gap since my last. There is so much more information available on safety and best practice with newborns and seems everything is did with my previous 2 is now dangerous!

So my question is where do I put the newborn down in the day, downstairs?
I will have a next to me crib upstairs for night time. Thinking of times when im busy cooking, helping the other children etc.

Thank you all.

You’re having your third child and you do not know where to put your baby during the day? What did you do with your previous 2 children?

if you read the post, she said there was a gap between her second and third child

If you get something second hand, make sure to get a new mattress for it. I don't know why it's safer but the SIDS guidance says it always is.
