Gosh, the tantrums at this age are another level, aren't they?

We haven’t entered tantrums, yet!, but her temper has deffo started and huffiness😂🙃

@Sunshineclouds11 same here we haven’t really had any tantrums, she might cry for a minute when bringing her inside if she wants to stay outside but she’s easily distracted with ‘lets colour in’ or playing hide and seek etc…
im waiting on them any day though 😅

I’m wondering how everyone potty trying over Easter got on?

My LO is very spirited (literally since birth) and we’ve had lots of tantrums. She’s not a child you can take to a restaurant or supermarket. Little Houdini can get out of anything and has no desire to be contained.

Now she’s getting more and more language in finding things are settling. She’s my third, thank goodness, I’ve found the “How to Talk” series good over the years - in this case the little children book.

Potty training is complete for us! Can’t believe how well she’s done tbh for her age as it is young. Very different to her older brother, he couldn’t of cared less about it

My little one is such a milk monster lately 🤣he wants it more now than he ever did as a baby tbh. Problem is he has the Alpro growing up milk so lucky if a carton lasts 2 days at the min 😭

Potty training for us went okay - no issues with wees! But she waits for nap/bedtime nappy to poo :( won’t go in the toilet at all. No idea what to do, I’ve tried all kinds of bribery!

Feeling very proud today, my son has been trying to master pedaling for months on a tricycle, he got a hand me down bike with training wheels yesterday and has been flying around on it today, tried the tricycle too and he's got it! He's the kind of child who really needs a lot of physical activity to regulate, it really helps his behaviour and sleep, so this is another thing we can add to our routine for little boy to get his wiggles out!

Any tips on toe nail cutting ladies, he screams his head off if I even attempt it 🙈

@CheetocatWell done! Will deffo help get the wiggles out! I’m happy for the better weather for late afternoons in the park or garden to help tire her out haha!

@CheeseAndCrackersxI do my two whilst their in the bath, softer nails. Not sure if would help.

I let my son cut one of my nails after I've cut all 20 of his 😂

My son had his on his birthday, he's already changed so much since then!

How are your LO’s settling for nap/bed times?
it’s taking up to an hour and a half for DS to settle these past few days 🙈 so sometimes it’s meaning he’s nodding off at like 10pm.

waking from naps about 4pm 🙈

do I start considering dropping the nap if it’s effecting settling? Cos if he needs longer wake windows then bedtime is just gonna be daft.
he wakes between 7&8am.

Truly stuck what to do

No cos he’s taking so long to settle. I put him in cot no later than half 1 depending what time
he finished lunch. It started it was just taking about half hour to settle so he’d be asleep by 2 at the latest and it varies in length. And regardless of waking at 4 he’d still be asleep no later than 8:30- 9 but now that’s creeping later and later too and more like 9:55-10pm cos he’s just chatting away etc for ages

My LO dropped his nap in March and became a dream to put to bed after he had been fighting naps and bed time for months. I wish we dropped the nap sooner. Now he sleeps 7 to 7. We can also have more fun during the day and plan fulls days out because he used to be able to only nap at home. The only thing is that if we're not careful he'll fall asleep in the car in the evening , although most of the time if we transfer him to bed he'll sleep though.

I haven’t tested yet to see what he’d be like without it but maybe I should then I’ll decide or even if it helps reset him to sleeping earlier again

@CheeseAndCrackersxI would try afew days with no nap sounds like he’s ready.
I agree with @Cheetocatit does make life easier.

Anyone else's children's feet growing at an insane rate? We keep buying new shoes and shortly after his feet grow again, it's like he's trying to catch up with the extra space in his shoes. I think he's going into 26EU now which is like 8.5UK?? Today he's stuck wearing some sandals that are meant to be for a wedding at the end of July 😂

First day of no nap today, it went early after my last post but then it’s started shifting later again so decided today it’s no nap to either reset his routine or just cut them totally 😀

DD has dropped her nap at home most days but still naps at nursery.
bed time is a dream on no nap days 😂

He’s currently doing ok. Only rubbed his eyes once. He’s just in the garden playing football, I said a little fresh air reset might help whilst I cook dinner. Aiming for 7:30-8pm bed 😀
