Is anybody else worrying about potential terrorist attacks on primary schools?

SunnyPearlFish · 12/08/2025 22:34

Over the last week I've seen lots of videos/social media posts regarding potential terror attacks on primary/infant schools. Following on from them doing lockdown practice runs in school. It's got me so worried to the point where I'm considering home schooling my children (5 and 4). They absolutely love their school, it's a lovely small village school with brilliant teachers and they have a really close knit group of friends there.

I know it would break their hearts if I pulled them out of school but I can't stop thinking about something awful happening to my children.

On the other hand, I know I need to keep things in perspective and really consider the chances of something happening. I'm just so conflicted, I don't know how well I'd be able to home educate them, I don't really have the confidence to do it.

Just looking for some advice really and peoples opinions. TIA

I can see it happening. I think it will be nationwide at the same time on the same date. I reckon last day of term before Christmas. It’s made me feel sick. I don’t understand how people don’t see how sinister things are.

Only people who are obsessed with right-wing bullshit on SM, and it IS bullshit, are bothered about this.

Luckily most people know propaganda when they see it.

Yeah ok. Tell me, what would happen if 10 men jumped a school fence at playtime? The threat level in the UK says an attack is likely….

If you think this country won’t get much worse fast then good for you, but the reality is there to see in statistics and facts.

Which stats and facts are those? Please give us some links.

What do you think 10 men would want to leap over a school fence for?

DrabLilCrab · 14/08/2025 19:11

Well it wouldn’t be to give out roses would it? If you are on the internet and need me to tell you where to find information…. Have you heard what the threat is? Before you say oh that will never happen. It has happened… it does happen…. It will happen again …. Why would anyone take a bomb to a Taylor swift concert, or a knife to a kids dance class? Wake up

So on this imagined leap over a fence it wouldn't be to give out roses? What would this imagined leap over a fence by imaginary men be for?

The internet is a big place and I daresay I frequent different places from you so please share the specific bits of the internet you are getting these facts and stats from.

There's a world of difference between a mad knife attack at a dance class and a coordinated terrorist attack all over the country at the same time on the same day.

I can tell where you find your 'information'.

It's from disinformation spreading twitter accounts called things like 'Active Patriot' who probably originate in Russia.

Take your fucking bullshit fearmongering elsewhere.

DrabLilCrab · 14/08/2025 19:27

Yeah cos that’s never happened. Do your own research, educate yourself or don’t 🤷🏼‍♀️

We all do our own research. You have clearly found different sources from some of us. Is there a reason you can't share any of these facts and stats you're talking about?

Thicker than mince, fair play.

noblegiraffe · 14/08/2025 19:33

And I am extremely disappointed that @MNHQ have said that a poster suggesting that primary school kids will be murdered the last week of Christmas term doesn't break talk guidelines.

Perhaps if more people reported this obvious disinformation?

I agree. I reported it and had an email to say they'll take a look. That was hours ago.

Agreed. I’ve reported it too.

There was another thread like this. I reported. Nothing.

Every day there’s some faux concern from a mouth breathing fake profile fearmongering and using truly fucking awful situations to drive their racist agenda. It’s clear as a bell what they’re doing and it’s infuriating. We’re in real danger in this country of going down the road to fascism along with America if we don’t get a grip on this shit.

HappySummerDays · 14/08/2025 21:00

@Mnhq are really not on the ball with this rubbish are they....
Wonder have they got a letter from Gordon Brown's legal people yet after the absolute lies that were posted about him a couple of days ago and that they let stand for quite a while.

HappySummerDays · 14/08/2025 21:30

They are hiding other posts on other threads - happy for this one to keep going....mind boggles.

Zonder · 14/08/2025 21:34

Sounds as though you have some insider info. Very disturbing.

Forget MNHQ. How did we report individual posters to Prevent? Anyone know?

Hear, hear. So sick of all of this scaremongering shit lately.

Such incidents are beyond incredibly rare in the UK.

I don’t know, after donkeys’ years here 😂, how to check the validity of a poster (ie have they just popped up for the first time with an alarming thread?)

If someone could explain to me in terms appropriate to the technologically disinclined, would be most grateful 😁.
