Double pushchair recommendations for older toddler and newborn?

Hi! Currently looking for a double pushchair for a 3 year old and a newborn. Please don’t suggest a buggy board or sling.

Ideally side by side rather than tandem
Large seat for my toddler - she is fairly tall.
Able to attach a bassinet or has a lie-flat parent facing option for a new born.

Currently considering the Bugaboo Donkey but I’m not sure whether the seat unit will be big enough for DD3, and also put off by the price (and the fact it takes up so much room in a car boot).

Does anyone have any recommendations?

thanks!

I've got a mountain buggy duet, which is side by side, and my tall 3 year old doesn't go in it any more but he would fit. You can get a newborn cocoon that you just clip in, or there is also a separate carrycot thingy you can get that converts into a parent-facing seat, though I never bothered. It's fairly compact for a double - you still feel like you are pushing a double-decker bus, but you can fit it through a normal internal doorway. The fold is fairly flat, but square, so I guess you'd want quite a large boot but it wouldn't take up all the space.

Have you looked at the Graco Ready2Grow 2.0? I haven’t got one personally but a friend of mine does and she has her newborn in the top part and her DS who is 3 and very tall in the seat, it holds up to 22kg so would likely be suitable! It’s very easy to push, has a cup holder and a decent basket!

Nipper out and about double - very light, easy to
push and manoeuvre. Folds up easily to
put into the boot. I used to take the double out even with only one DC in preference to our other single buggy for a while

I'm going to try and have a look at the Joie Estrella this weekend. It seems a good price and it can take a 22kg child in each seat (lots of side by sides only do 15kg).
