messy
noisy
pee everywhere

trucks and trains everywhere
endless Qs about bridges,planets,cars

but no-one expects my house to be spotless or the kids to be 'tidy' eaters

The best place for boys is OUTSIDE.

With my 2 DSs I am now expert on trains, trucks, diggers etc and have to fight the urge to shout out "Ooh look a TRACTOR!" when travelling on my own .

Pinkchampagne · 11/04/2008 17:55

Oh yes, forgot about the pee issue!

The best thing about having two boys is that when they're bouncing on your sofa, driving their cards on the walls so that they leave long marks or trying to pee on each other, you can simply yell: BOYS! It's a great, big strong word that you can really sink your teeth into and make it sound scary. GIRLS! just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Enid - good or bad, they just are like dogs.

Ask Awen she as 2 boys...not sure about Mhamai though

littlegreyrabbit · 11/04/2008 23:22

Yes - have to agree about boys and dogs. I have both. They both respond very well to very clear simple commands and little treats as rewards. Sit! Get down! Wash your hands! etc

Seriously though - I think having boys has helped me let my hair down and relax a bit myself. You just can't insist too strictly on elbows off the table at meal times when everyone in the family is crying with laughter at ds2's impression of his teacher doing a fart when she bent over to tick his maths.

Tbh I wanted girls and I got boys and absolute honest truth I feel that I am the luckiest woman on earth. If I had more I would choose a boy and another and another.

(Except for whichever one it is who leaves muddy football boots on the sofa...)

You will know more about backhoe loaders than you ever dreamed.

Mine (1 and 2) too adore diving into cushions and pillows.

Boys rock.

Aww I've loved reading this.

My 2 boys are only 20 months and 18 weeks so I cant wait for all the noise and stupid stuff

Although dd seems to pretty much take care of that herself.

HereComeTheGirls · 13/04/2008 08:33

My friend felt absolutely sure she was having another boy..and had a girl..she had two boys already so thought she knew what to expect!...so don't be too sure!!

HereComeTheGirls · 13/04/2008 08:34

oops, but I see you are hoping for a boy...girls also rock though, they are very very sweet!!!

bigboydiditandranaway · 13/04/2008 18:22
