Can I ask how soon your DC walked after first pulling to stand?

As above. How soon after pulling to stand did your DC take their first independent steps?

2-3 months. But after his first steps he paused for a couple of weeks before walking further. Think he just found crawling easier and quicker.

About 4 months.
Quick to crawl, quick to stand, pretty average on the walking.

Merrow · 10/01/2024 14:53

A long time. DS1 was pulling himself up and cruising about 7-8 months, then walked independently at 14 months. DS2 has been pulling himself up for almost two months now and I'm not anticipating him walking anytime soon.

My eldest was the first to pull to stand in my NCT group of similar aged babies, and the last to walk. About 7 months - 15 months iirc

I don’t remember the gap for my other two - but they both walked around the 12 month mark.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/01/2024 14:55

It felt like forever. He crawled at eight months, cruised a week or so after that then didn't actually take his first steps until SEVEN months later 😂

coffeesugar · 10/01/2024 14:57

It was quite quick from dd pulling up to stand to cruising round furniture but the independent steps were a good 4 months after that

Koalaslippers · 10/01/2024 14:57

One DC 2 months, other DC 4 months. It varies a lot.

Naptrappedmummy · 10/01/2024 14:58

4 months ish. She pulled to stand at 9 months and walked at 13 months. Her little brother has just started pulling to stand at 9.5 months, expecting a lot period of cruising from him as well!

MirandaWest · 10/01/2024 15:00

DS about 6 months - pulled up about 9 months and walked at 15 months

DD about 3 months - pulled up about 12 months and walked at 15 months

JuniperAndTonic · 10/01/2024 15:03

About 5 months! DD crawled at 8 months, pulled up to standing and cruising around furniture a month later so I was sure she’d be walking early but she didn’t take her first steps until she was 14 months and even after that she took another month or so to get confident and favour walking over crawling. She was the first in our NCT group to crawl and pull up to standing but the last to walk.

bettynutkins · 10/01/2024 15:03

We are at 6 months. No walking yet!

Ladyj84 · 10/01/2024 15:04

Walking for our twin girls 6 months and for our son 10months

justanothermanicmonday1 · 10/01/2024 15:05

A few months here too! I think about 4.

Crunchingleaf · 10/01/2024 15:08

DC1 about a month
DC2 about 5/6 months
DC3 is cruising for about 2 months now. No walking yet

DC1 didn’t crawl and others did/do so might have been more motivated to get going.

SingsongSu · 10/01/2024 15:09

My DD it was 4-5 months. Pulled to standing at 11 months then walking at about 15 months.

VivaVivaa · 10/01/2024 15:25

7 ish months. Never crawled, started cruising around the furniture at 9 months but didn’t independently walk until 16 months. He walked perfectly when he did.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 10/01/2024 15:32

DS pulled to stand at 9 months and started walking at 13 months.

His feral baby sister started crawling before 6 months, pulling up at 7 months and I think she'll walk before 12 months. She's 8 months now and keeps trying to walk and then faceplanting and screaming with indignation and frustration.

Stressedoutforever · 10/01/2024 16:51

Dc2 is 8 months and started to pull to stand at 6 months- so hopefully a little while yet!

It was about 3 months for DC1 between the two

Dyra · 10/01/2024 16:58

DC1: Crawled at 6 months, pull to stand about 7 months, walked at 16 months. So 9 months.

DC2: Pull to stand about 8.5 months (he rolled (or screamed until we moved him) to where he wanted to go), crawled at 10 months, walked (just as I was starting to get worried) at 17.5 months. So again, 9 months, but felt sooo much longer.

NonSequentialRhubarb · 10/01/2024 17:03

About five months from very first pulling up until very first steps.

About eight months from confident pull ups (10 months) to confident walking (18 months).

ODFOx · 10/01/2024 17:03

DC1, 9 days (was walking confidently by 7.5 months)
DC2, 9 weeks: walked at about 12 months
DC3, 7 weeks: ditto
DC4, 5 weeks: walked at about 11 months
DC5, 2 weeks ( didn't stand or cruise until 15 months)

And all were considered within normal range by the nurseries they attended.

justmyluck1234 · 10/01/2024 17:05

Cruised around using furniture around 9-10months didn't walk independently till 14 months

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 10/01/2024 17:07

My 14mo does squats, he stands unaided, then squats and stands again 😅😅 No steps as yet, but he crawls like lightning!

Grinchinlaws · 10/01/2024 17:19

About 3 months I think for both kids, with DC2 doing stuff 1 month earlier than DC1. Crawling was 7-8 months, pulled to stand 8-9 months, walked 11-12 months.

Totally misread this as you saying your kids did this stuff when they were 9 weeks old 🤣🤣
