RockAndRollerskate · 21/11/2023 18:58

Ha! I think that’s quite clever!

It’s not like a little one would catch on

3catsandcounting · 21/11/2023 19:00

Maybe if he had one in each hand?
It's actually called a Whopper isn't it,
or am I missing something?

Greenshake · 21/11/2023 19:01

I don’t get it?

I don’t get it?

Parents are telling whoppers as in Santa isn't real..

mummsypie67 · 21/11/2023 19:02

saying santa claus isn't real..

Greenshake · 21/11/2023 19:03

Oh right! Thank you.

FortunataTagnips · 21/11/2023 19:04

It’s quite funny, and any child young enough to believe in Father Christmas is very unlikely to get the joke.

RampantIvy · 21/11/2023 19:05

Seriously?

I don't think a small child would get it.
And TBH neither did I Blush

Anoisagusaris · 21/11/2023 19:06

I’ve never heard Whopper means a lie so I didn’t get it.

Ibizabar · 21/11/2023 19:06

I think it's quite clever.

icelollycraving · 21/11/2023 19:07

I think it’s quite clever. A kid won’t understand it, you just say the burger is called a whopper.

Fanofbrianbilston · 21/11/2023 19:09

He looks quite suggestive, like he’s got a whopper for you 😆😆 sexy Santa

3catsandcounting · 21/11/2023 19:09

Ohhh! I get it now. Obvs my mucky mind, thinking it was to do with boobs!

I didn't get the joke either.

BreadBag · 21/11/2023 19:09

I think that's clever too, kids won't get it and some young adults either to be honest. I think "telling whoppers" is quite an old fashioned phrase.

TidyDancer · 21/11/2023 19:09

Oh that's funny! Why are you unimpressed OP?

Floralnomad · 21/11/2023 19:10

If your child is able to understand that then they are old enough to know .

overwhelmed2023 · 21/11/2023 19:10

Overthinking springs to mind

Haha me too! I didn't get the whoppers = lies thing either.

watchingtheworldwithwoe · 21/11/2023 19:11

This went completely over my head.

EdgarsTale · 21/11/2023 19:12

Are you serious? Children are not going to get it. You need to get a sense of humour.

TappingTed · 21/11/2023 19:12

I think its great! Subtle (as proven by the people here who didn't twig) and it is one big and juicy lie...

MintGreenPolo · 21/11/2023 19:17

I've never heard lies being called whoppers either so I didn't get it

EveryKneeShallBow · 21/11/2023 19:19

Not only kids who won’t get it. I’m in my 60s. Whoosh!
