Parents what Cbeebies programmes can you live without?

Wafffle !!!

Big cook little cook!!!

Andy's prehistoric adventures!!!

Anything with mr tumble in it!!

I've got 3 kids under 5 so CBeebies is a given in our household but certain programs can certainly live without if they suddenly got pulled.

If your kid watches CBeebies what programme can you as the adult not tolerate.

This is not a thread to bash the channel just certain programmes really do take the biscuit.

BING!!

Mr Tumble was brilliant for helping my 2 non verbal DC to communicate. I think I developed Stockholm syndrome from the amount of time we spent watching it.

I appreciate what Justin does for children with disabilities etc but he is kinda annoying and childish his programmes just ends up on mute or low volume in our house.

Biff and Chip
My Pet Dinosaur
The one with kids making food from all over the world. I do not need my child mithering me to let them make sushi.🙄

Years ago they had a show, I think it was called Dirt Girl. I fucking hated it and would turn it off as soon as it came on.

Yes to some of the ones you've mentioned, can't stand them either - they think our children are idiots

I quite like my world kitchen tho - like to see different dishes around the world. Gives me inspiration

Moon and me

nanodyne · 11/10/2023 20:16

Justin's House can get in the bin.

Also hate Waffle after 3yo spent a 1h car journey singing "waaaffle doggy" over and over and over...

Lorelaigilmore88 · 11/10/2023 20:22

Bluey! Hey Duggee, Peter Rabbit.... and a bit of night garden :)

Lorelaigilmore88 · 11/10/2023 20:24

Ignore me i am an idiot... i thought we were doing ones we couldn't live without 🤦‍♀️

Blimeor · 11/10/2023 20:24

The characters in Moon and Me are creepy as fuck

Tisfortired · 11/10/2023 20:26

I hate Bing. My now 10 year old used to love Topsy and Tim which made me want to rip my own eyes out.

Have a 9 month old now so doing it all again, and Bing is still a knob head

PaganOfTheGoodTimes · 11/10/2023 20:26

The charmless version of Peter Rabbit and Vegesaurs, utter crap. I dislike a lot of others but can tolerate them but those two 😬

specialguest · 11/10/2023 20:26

DH used to call it Big Cock Little Cock.

That was when DD was little and she's 16 now, I can't believe it's still going.

ShortColdandGrey · 11/10/2023 20:27

Waffle is called Awful in our house. My husband absolutely hates it. Andy's animal raps can go in the bin along with Bing and Justin's house.

distinctpossibility · 11/10/2023 20:29

My 11 year old has got back into Topsy and Tim since starting secondary school... I think she needs something non challenging to wind down with. She likes to "Roast them" and giggle at their perfect lives. Lots of comparing me (unfavourably) to Joy, their perfect mum. Awful programme.

Never really understood Night Garden either.

SgtCatherineCawood · 11/10/2023 20:30

Topsy and Tim. I have an 8 year age gap between my 2 kids and it's the same ones now that were on when DS1 was little. From 2013 apparently. Google tells me Topsy is now 18 and Tim is 17

Janisjoplinn · 11/10/2023 20:33

Bing is fucking nob jockey.

catsnore · 11/10/2023 20:53

Night Garden is banned.

Also teletubbies.

Peppa Pig can get in the bin.

Topsy and Tim really bloody annoying.

stickybear · 11/10/2023 20:56

Yakka Dee drives me mad. We love Andy in this house though Grin

StrictlyComeback · 11/10/2023 20:59

Do they still show in the night garden. I couldn’t stand the awful lack of science in the sizes of everything.

They remade it last year. Replaced by women.

I usually sing Big tits little tits

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 11/10/2023 21:06

I dislike Peter Rabbit for some reason.

I also dislike all the shows on the run up to bedtime. They're all so dull (I do get that they're meant to be).

I bloody love Andy Day, though. And Molly & Mack.

StopLickingTheDog · 11/10/2023 21:06

Peter rabbit can get myxomatosis and did. No one should be that fixated on their dead dad.

herewego9 · 11/10/2023 21:11

My three love Peter Rabbit and Molly and Mack. I must say the kids in M&M are brilliant!
