Find me a night nappy

I've been using disposables at night and I'm just fed up with the feckin' evil things.

During the day ds is in flat bamboo terries as we have no drier, no outside access, and a very, very cramped flat - they are the only things that dry in a day (usually). But ds soaks them all the way round within about 4hrs.

Suggestions, please?

Lol @ my super friendly returns policy! Tis more about confidence in my nappies - I have had very few returned.

hope flame's paying you a commission, mammatulip!

well ds's nasty disposable had leaked by midnight last night and I failed completely to find any fleece to buy today, so he's in another one tonight

determined this will be the last - wish me luck!

am off now to buy ... oh pants, I can't remember! off to read me own blardy thread now!

hm well I've managed to buy some more flat bamboo terries - we needed them anyhoo.

but now I can't decide whether to go ahead and buy a couple more airflow wraps (which we will need eventually), OR whether to try a fleece wrap? ( at cost of wool wraps!)

and should I try a hemp booster?

and should I try a pocketbot, OR a quickflip?

decisions, decisions. and as we all know, indecision makes me hungry

thank you for your votes mammatulip

can't believe I didn't think of trying 2nd-hand - normally that's the FIRST thing I think of!

I've been scoffing G&B butterscotch choccy, what've you got?

why's a quickflip better than a pocketbot? do QF's still require a wrap?

OP posts:
BigBadMouse · 09/03/2008 22:25

Yep, QFs require a wrap - Pocket Bots don't.

A QF is likely to be more reliable leak wise (esp coupled with your airflow wrap) whereas, if the PB doesn't fit your DS's shape well it may leak. I find the PB quite adapatable to different shapes - worked well when DD went through a brief chubby leg phase as well as during her usual skinny phase. She will also make to measure btw.

I have never had a leak from my PBs but plenty of leaks from other pocket nappies - could just be down to my DDs shape. The reliability of pocket nappies can be hit and miss although some seem generally more reliable than others.

QF will dry quickly too. Don't get a red one - they run in the wash . I've never tried heavily boosting a QF but I have heard from many people who do successfully.

pmsl

I expect my laptop to die any day really - it gets a lot of abuse. Keyboard and mouse are not happy and it's driving me mad. Everything is shorting out so the ' is a ; more often than not ( I have to make much effort to get the ' to work).

Not sure if it will die of it's own accord or will be killed by rapid exit through unopened window

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2008 07:52

Was only red QF lights that ran with the wrong washing powder, and they have been discontinued anyway

BigBadMouse · 10/03/2008 15:51

Sounds typical - of all the QFs I could have chosen I choose the one that ran

PhDlifeNeedsaNewLife · 10/03/2008 20:24

well thank you, BBM! If you hadn't, I would've!
