i am 21 with a fab 2 year old daughter and hardly any of my friends have kids, and the ones who do live no where nearby and i hardly get to see them. i just wanted to join this site and find other women in the same situation really. it would be nice to have people to chat to who understand it! my partner is great so i am not stuck with someone to chat to really, but its always nice to meet new people in the same situation..
hope that doesnt sound too sad!

Hi KTM, I'm old but there was a thread on here some weeks ago for young mums so I'm bumping this for you in home that some of them see you.

gingerninja · 04/03/2008 20:53

Kbear · 04/03/2008 20:56

Welcome, this is a fab site for supporting each other and making friends, there is always someone to help in whatever situation as you will soon find out.

Kbear · 04/03/2008 20:56

and I'm old too so you won't want to talk to me!

gemmiegoatlegs · 04/03/2008 21:00

hi, I am now 25 with two dcs and I also felt very isolated when i had my ds at 21. there are always like minded people on t'internet, and my friends have started to catch up now, so things are a bit better!

Welcome

well age is not a problem to me! my partner is 43 so i am not prejudice!! anyone who wants to chat is welcome!
i am in Maldon in essex...

congratulations oliviaelanasmum!! wow you really have your hands full! i would love another baby, and to end up with a big family. i really miss being pregnant. but i think i am going to leave a bit of a gap before trying again...

i am having real trouble understanding all these abreviations!! getting there though.. although i cant chat for too long, my poor partner is feeling a bit neglected so i had better switch off soon! he has gone out for a run as i think he was a bit bored and its our night off while the little poppet is at her dads..

thanks for all the replies! i am currently off work having just had some fairly extensive spinal surgery.. so my daughter is in nursery full time until i can care for her on my own again (which is horrible and very boring) BUT i have lots of time on my hands and i think this is now howi am going to be spending it! there is only so much daytime TV i can cope with, this is far more entertaining!

am i being dim?! i cant see the acronyms list anywhere!

yeah the surgery was a bit of a pain, i have been out of hospital 2 weeks today so everything is feeling much better! to be honest the worst thing about it was dealing with karis and missing her while i was away and now not being able to do much for her. that was my 3rd op, but definitly the hardest because of her age! hopefully the last as the surgeon has done a great job so fingers crossed!

your right thought, no excuses not to get chatting on here!
