Speaking of YouTube , defo blocked a lot of age appropriate YouTubers . One girl in particular who I believe is polish maybe not sure, but her dad bought her this massive doll cause she smashed a window cause she was bored ?! Erm don’t think so . I notice my 5 year old is influenced easily by these ‘youtubers’ - not understanding why this YouTube has all this barbie stuff and she didn’t - cause it’s an advert ! Taught her that early on lol oh and annia and Elisa .. basically frozen but with a child narrating dolls talk to each other. Urgh

Please can I add all the presenters in particular Rebecca and Evie seemingly having a singing competition and the guy who dances around in pink dungarees and I don't even know his name 🫣

Just wait until all your child will watch is YouTube videos with shouting Americans! (Nothing against Americans in general it's just the shouty variety on YouTube that get me!!) You'll all be begging them to watch Bing etc again!!

I actually love peppa but seem to be in a minority 🤣 I think it can be quite funny. Bing on the other hand is a total brat and his voice grates on me terribly.. and who IS flop?!

When my DD was diagnosed with Autism, when we were discussing tv, the child Psychologist who diagnosed her said that Bing is actually an excellent representation of how children interact with each other. Though he did agree that Bing not being corrected on his language was not great

@Onlyahalfbottle I can only imagine that the production company had a meeting (in the pub) where a bunch of people were bouncing ideas around and ‘what if we did a kind of salad fingers… but aimed at toddlers’ was enthusiastically received.

My teenager hates bing. He’s deeply irritated by how bing speaks.

for those who also despair of blippi (and his fake blippi counterpart, plus Meeka and fake meeka too) - have you seen the hilariously bad combover thing the ‘real’ bloody does to his hair under that stupid hat? It’s ridiculous.

i also hate the post train. It must cost approximately 37p to make an episode so much of it is just exactly the same genetic animation.

What annoys me most about it is that this just isn’t how trains work. The don’t just move at random between different places looking for animals whose friends cannot address their post correctly. That train is on a track and the train driver can’t simply decide that the next stop is Antarctica because Henrietta the hippo in the savanna said that Mike the mountain goat lives somewhere cold.

In The Night Garden - lasts for hours and every single episode is the fucking same. But bizarrely is like crack for toddlers. My DS couldn't get enough of it...

Bing - whiny little shit.

Topsy and Tim - creepily obedient stepford children.

Alphablocks (did more to help my autistic son learn to read than 2 years of phonics lessons.)

Numberblocks (ditto for numeracy. If anyone from CBeebies is watching PLEASE bring it back. My son is devastated that you didn't finish all the times table songs!)

Oh I loved Tinga Tinga too! Can't stand Bing or Waffle just because they annoy me, and controversially I'm not a fan of Bluey as it has a noticeable negative effect on my eldest's behaviour that literally nothing else does!

I also detest the new Pinocchio, it's so out of step with everything else that's on Cbeebies.

Spidey and Friends or whatever it's called, can't believe it's on CBeebies now so there's no escaping it.

I actually love Peppa. Ok she's a brat but it can be so funny. The episode where her baby cousin comes to stay and the aunt and uncle have all kinds of ridiculously noisy ways of getting him to sleep is genius. And I love Mr Bull digging up the road, and dodgy Mr Fox. I also miss the Paw Patrol years, it's cute and harmless and infinitely preferable to sodding Spidey.

But all the furniture is too big for both of them so there must have been actual parents at some point? Maybe the sack cloth things murdered all the adults and took over there lives?

I actually don’t mind spidey and his adventures in the mildest of perils. Mostly because it amuses me so much that the theme tune is by the guy from fall out boy. 🤣
