@burtle4 yeah I felt sick for the first few weeks of finding out but never sick. I was never sick with my pregnancies. I actually have a feeling I'm having another boy. I have all the symptoms I had when I was pregnant with josiah. But I'm happy with whatever I have.

I've I've thinking about getting sterilised after this pregnancy but that's a big big think about.

Midwife has classed me as high risk with this pregnancy due to my birthing with josiah.. I have to go for growth scans too.

Quick question also. I received a letter from midwife after booking and she has put on there that I should take aspirin. I have no clue why.

Normally they advise you to take aspirin if you're at risk of blood clots as it thins the blood x

Could I join? Baby is 12 months

Curlymam88 · 23/05/2023 16:37

It's supposed to help prevent pre eclampsia. Did you have high blood pressure with josiah?

jadey1991 · 23/05/2023 21:59

@gogokarting hiya of course you can. Is this your first?

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 23/05/2023 22:00

@Curlymam88 no hun I've never had high blood pressure. This is why I'm so baffled

Theawkwardblonde · 23/05/2023 22:06

@jadey1991 I was prescribed aspirin in both pregnancies as a precaution due to having quite a few miscarriages.
Not at all saying that's why you are on it though so don't worry!!
My friend was prescribed it in her 4th pregnancy too and was just told it was prescribed for people with multiple kids. Maybe it is just as an extra if they're classing your pregnancy as high risk. Try not to worry though; I don't think it will do you any harm taking it but just ask the midwife when you next see her ☺️

@Curlymam88 yes it has gone fast. I have my scan next week Saturday... I'm coping well. Josiah is doing well although he is very clingy ATM. I'm still breastfeeding him and finding it hard to stop.

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 31/05/2023 15:34

@JW2021 oh your not the first to say that.. we will see next week lol.. twins run in both sides of the family.
Aww bless Jack. I'm glad everything went well. He looks so happy bless him

Curlymam88 · 31/05/2023 15:51

Did you have a private scan? @jadey1991 or was it too early to see much? I'm glad you're doing ok. I have no experience with breastfeeding sorry. My girlie doesn't drink much milk at all any more. We offer it for bedtime and when she wakes up but some days she has it sometimes not.
@JW2021 I'm glad jacks grommets went well. What a brave boy. And well done to you for being strong for him through it all.

jadey1991 · 31/05/2023 16:17

@Curlymam88 yes I did have a private scan when I was 6 weeks but didn't show much. So now I'm waiting for my dating scan. Although according to the private scan my due date is 14th December. However they did say they can't be to sure because it was hard to measure baby at the time.

@jadey1991 i see. Its all exciting times again for you 😊

jadey1991 · 31/05/2023 20:18

@Curlymam88 it is exciting. Also very scary I'm not gonna lie.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 02/06/2023 16:30

@jadey1991 what are you scared about? I'm sure everything will be ok. The hospital will keep good checks on you and baby and you're a good mum. I think you'll be ok 😊
My 'baby' had her first poo on potty today. Was so surprised. She said poo poo to me so I sat her on there and off she went. She also had a wee on there after that. I was really surprised 😄

burtle4 · 02/06/2023 22:08

@Curlymam88 wow, that's amazing! Do you think you'll start potty training her now then? Dexter's nowhere near although he does say yes if you ask him if he's done a poo 😂

Curlymam88 · 02/06/2023 22:31

@burtle4 yes, I think ill give it a try. See how it goes. I think that's how they start? By recognising they've done a poo? So thats a good start 😊

jadey1991 · 02/06/2023 22:53

@Curlymam88 I'm scared as this pregnancy is high risk. I might have to have a c section. And also because I've never had a short age gap between any of my children... aww thanks hun they means alot..
Aww bless her that's sooo good. Have you been potty training her for a while? Josiah hide when he poos... and also any of mums with boys find that they like to explore in there nappies

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 03/06/2023 09:01

@jadey1991 have they said why its high risk? I've had 2 csections and I thought they were brilliant to be honest. This time once the epidural wore off I was up and down and to and from the baby care unit with no problem. Keep on top of painkillers and keep mobile helps. I've honestly had no problems with my c sections. I know the age gap is quite small but you can do it. Josiah will be 2 and hopefully a little less clingy by then. You're going to do great.
I havent been potty training her at all. I bought a potty only because the last time I took her to the doctors they asked for a urine sample which was hard work to get. So I thought if I need to get another urine sample in future then I thought a potty would be easier to get one in. I've obviously told her what a potty is for etc and ask if she wants to go. She's shown no interest in telling me she needs to go apart from the last couple of days so thought I'd take the risk and take her nappy off to see if she went. She had a toy to play with and she sat there and went 😄

tashx · 03/06/2023 12:32

@jadey1991
If you mean having a fiddle with his Willy 😂
Yes it's perfectly normal
Just a boy thing
